Solo cap a fully upgraded camp?
Yes you but you need to be able to kill/be attacked by 4-6 at a time.
The Zealots and Cabalists will really mess you up. I know I can solo a camp with idle Dolyak guards, but not with Zealots and Cabalists I don’t think.
Speaking from a glamour mesmer POV here.
Devonas Rest 4 lyfe
Yes.
The trick is to burst them down in groups and not use any stealth to let them cap it back when they respawn. The hardest part is not getting jumped while doing this.
Maguuma
It is possible, although I have only done it once on my dd ele, and at golanta so plenty of places to kite the npcs around.
Again, pulling a few off at a time is the only way possible I think.
Koroshi can do stuff like this.

Retired.
Its possible, I’ve done it on a couple different occasions. I use my Ranger for soloing camps though, all you have to do is kite a couple scouts out at a time, followed by the guards, etc. Then save the lord for last.
Falrin, the question is a fully upgraded camp – which means 3 wandering x2, 6 in the camp + supervisor, all upgraded to level 82.
I’d love to see a ranger pull that off – I just don’t think they have the DPS to beat respawn.
Actually, looks like rangers can do this really easily:
Can’t find any video’s of a thief doing it. Would love to see that.
Yeah its relatively easy with a ranger, plargely because of entangle. Unlike players, NPC are far too stupid to kill the vines so you can immobilize 5 of them for 20 seconds no trouble (and the bleed will do serious damage depending if you’re a condition build or not).
Gunnar’s Hold
I didnt know its “impossible” till I saw this thread.
Im playing HGH engi and I did my PvE dayly by soling 3 camps today – on 2 I used my elite and on the other one I didnt need it. One of the camps where I used my elite I was also attacked by a warrior who died simultaneously with the guards (I even let the guards ress him so I can kill him twice for the other part of the dayly where I need 10 players to kill)
The key is to focus one target all the time till its dead due to the Veteran guards healing up every few seconds. Also keep them away from you by using your CC skills, root, fear and/or stealth. And of course, stack of cunfusion makes wonders.
Its piece of cake for every small scale PvPer tbh and its nothing compared to an actual Player versus Plyaer fight.
In that video of the ranger taking the camp, he had the help of the tamiri taking one set of the guards’ attention. True, that’s a “solo” take….
And in that case, I’ve taken fully upgraded camps solo on my thief (Hyleks for one camp, Dredge for the other).
Yeah Im more interested in the borderlands when I can’t get help from mercs. I try to stay out of EB. The skritt and centaurs there aren’t as helpful and nor are the quaggans as its most commonly the case that the fully upgraded camps are the northern and NE and NW camps.
Rangers can do this for sure. As stated above, entangle is key, especially if you can line them up properly. Condi rangers may have other strategies, but I don’t play a full condi or regen beast master so I’m not sure how they would approach it. With entangle, piercing arrows, signets and practice in lining up your targets it’s relatively easy.

Easy peasy on my Mesmer. I’ve even soloed a fully upgraded camp also defended by half a dozen mean Quaggans, lol. The supervisor is the easiest enemy, while the scouts are by far the most annoying ones (and the only ones that can really make you loose).
That’s a lie, the cabalists with their pulls will screw you by getting you around all the bets and the stun
Asuran Engineer (Lost)
Definitely doable, long condi duration helps on Necro.
But its annoying as all get out, what with the wandering patrols coming in, and the quick multiple respawns due to how long it takes to whittle everyone down.
The chance that players don’t show up at some point before you get done is really rare, short of a dead server or at least dead off peak time period.
Weird thing the supervisor doesn’t get upgraded with the rest of his guards.
Do it on my thief regularly. I have a D/D thief build spec’d into healing. I use Dagger Storm to bring down the first group and SB for the second. I then melee the last of it. The dangerous mob for me is still the scout since their blindness can cause significant steal timing issues. The cabalists are all kinds of dangerous too. If anyone shows up from the enemy camp, they kill me with ease however.
“Youre lips are movin and youre complaining about something thats wingeing.”
Ranger is easiest to do this with … but I can do it on my mesmer too (just have to peel them off one at a time).
Now let’s talk about those dredge. Dredge are OP. Watched dredge run into Speldan and kill off the supervisor and then the enemy guy just stroll in afterwards and cap, lol.

I would argue a d/d elementalist is the easiest. Lots of healing, plenty of damage, TONS of AoE and easy escape if it turns south. Watching a hybrid bunker ele can be a thing of beauty.

The fastest is imo by far a condition-thief. 2 Pulls (~5-6 each) and you need about 30 sec for each group. Really simple with a lot of heal and massiv bleeding [caltrops(skill+dodge), clusterbomb spam]. Should be possible in less than 1 min.
I do this on my staff ele’s easy. Pop Elite Golem, and have it pull all aggro and drop all aoe on top of mob. Done in less than a minute..
I wear all PVT/Valkyrie gear w/boon runes by the way.
Honestly, if you are a thief with zerker gear then you’re best bet to ball up the group (line of sight them after you tag them) and use a shortbow + anything else with lots of aoe
Characters- Levicus (Ele); Levicus Gear (Eng);
Levicus Shield (War)

What build are you running and are you able to upload video? I don’t see how it can be done as a thief. Not sure why you are having problems with scout, these die instantly for me with dagger storm.
As many have stated, it’s possible.
They way you start the fight is the most important factor though and some supply camps are easier to take then others because of that.
Try to look for a way to bundle them up (especially the scouts and cabalists) and neutralize their initial abilities. (cabilist pull and scouts blinding)
After that, use a structure to block their line of sight occasionally as you kite around and whittle them down.
And it won’t be easy, don’t give up after a first attempt or don’t be afraid to retreat and restart if things don’t go your own way. It requires practice.
Thing is I don’t think its possible for my build. I need to see more players do it with a thief so I can sandbox minimal changes to my build so that I can do it. Even with near 100% DPS uptime its just not happening and Im spending 15minutes or more there killing respawning veteran cabalists and zealots.
I can do it with my warrior, especially since I’ve invested in WvW infusions and have most of my points in “Guard Killer”
Why invest in AC mastery when I’m a warrior and should be on the front lines anyhow LOL
