option 1: dont attack unless provoked. in fergusons crossing/ DR/Kaineng we typically leave each other alone, this lets others get siege and badges for siege to play in real wvw, letting ppl have a LOT more fun without having to spend money.
option 2: travel always in a group of 3 or more. this helps keep 1 person campers to back off, after all, few ppl can 3v1 (the camper being the 1)and live to tell the tale.
option 3: do actual wvwvw. you can get siege as drops and same for badges, and it is fairly easy if about 10 ppl can get out of the jump puzzle and onto the field. a group of 10 can take a keep, or run around hunting and killing if they run out of siege.
option 4: go to the other jp. there are 3 others, 1 in each borderlands. i doubt any1 is camping the one in your own borderlands, so go do that one. you get the same rewards just about.

i am not entirely sure about that on the higher up servers, i am on fow server, and i go into the jump puzzle to get others up to top with mesmer portal, giving my guild a lot of siege. the siege from that takes keeps, and towers. that is why i would advise against this. however, making the jp its own map might help for the higher up server with ques and such, but for us lower servers, we dedicated players have to use too much money, we dont have enough ppl for that to spread out on, it is focused on ppl like me and some others.
EB JP is a good way to relieve some steam and at the same time having some fun. What’s the problem really, to to those proposed solutions?

My guild does a large WvW push ever Saturday and Monday. I usually use 5+ peices of siege each time I go out, and I am currently sitting on 3 Alpha Siege Golems, 9 Trebs, and over 15 of each other pieces of siege. I have never paid for a single piece of it. I can completely finish the jumping puzzle in 180 seconds solo (portal recharge x2) or 5 minutes if I am portaling a team up.
How exactly is that a waste of manpower?
Also, being on a server that is dominated, it is much more often that my own Jump puzzle is camped, and I can sneak in and do the other two JP’s much more easily.

It would only be a waste of manpower if your server would have loads people in there but the opposing servers not. Except for in the lower tiers it’s fairly balanced in the number of players per server being in there so it has no impact on manpower in “the real” WvW.
Personally I like it that it’s an open’ish environment (yes I know it’s instanced but not timed nor objective / points based like sPvP matches) which allows for small scale pvp with a lot of terrain to use to your advantage.
The amount of small groups fights in “the real” WvW aren’t that plentiful and more often than not if it’s a good and balanced fight that goes on for a while either or all sides get annihilated within seconds by a bypassing zerg.
If they remove it then it should either be a separate map or a whole new game mode that doesn’t end, but I’m actually fine with how it currently is.
JP has nothing to do with WvW it is if you can press a space bar or not. It is not fighting or contributing to the war in general. Yea get a few seige pieces wow i can purchase that seige no problem and do so.
it is dead manpower taking up fighters space. Put it sPvP but get it out of WvW.

Bang on. Its another area to terrorize your enemies. I would never bother to camp the areas but I don’t care if people do.
