Guild Wars 2

Hello! I’m planning on coming back to GW2 this week and starting to do some WvW. I do have a few questions though and I’m hoping you guys can help me out. Just to start off, I’m super new to WvW. All I did was PVE and some SPvP when I used to play. So firstly, are rangers fun/good in WvW? I was maining a ranger, but I figure I could switch to my thief if they are more viable. Secondly, is there a certain way that servers are ranked overall that I could see somewhere? And last, I am on Sorrow’s Furnace, so anyone from SF that might have a guild looking for members for WvW (who may not be the most experienced) let me know. Thanks everyone xD

From talkin with other rangers (I don’t play any) rangers are pretty good at solo/small scale as long as you only keep one bow and some melee options. Thieves are obviously really good at solo/small scale too.

Rangers are fine with a dueling build while roaming, but roaming is only good for those 1vX that you’ll win from time to time when you’re not being steamrolled by a passing zerg. It’s doesn’t help your server win much either, but it’s your game so roam if you want. Other than that Rangers are still outperformed by other professions in any other role, so do your server a favor and bring something else.
