I’m sure anet has seen the many many tweets i’ve been spamming about dieing to lag, skill lag etc. But all in all I think world linking has been awesome. There is coverage at all hours, Fights at all hours. I’ve not seen any downtime yet. I’m sure after things settle this will be different but I have to say that this is the most fun i’ve had in wvw for probably 2 years.
That being said…. The skill lag is awful. And well I get irritated when I die cuz skills 6-0 will not activate and hence the tweet spam.
IF anet can alleviate the skill lag during fights and still keep the linking it would be the best thing since peanut butter.
EDIT: I’m sure anet has already heard enuf time about the 2 hr queues.

There are three possible explanations for skill-lags. Either your computer/internet is too slow, the connection to the server somewhere in between is too slow or the server is not appropriate/too slow/bad connection. I personally rarely experience skill-lags. I live in an area with good internet connection. An gw2-update loads with 5 MB easily. I dont know your equipment/connection. However, could you check whether that was the problem for the lags?

I’m sure anet has already heard enuf time about the 2 hr queues.

Both (Short queues and many players on the maps) is sadly not possible.

Like the fights, hate the EB que. Constant 80 man que to EB every evening.

The issue is server side. It’s always been like that with skill lag except for those that play on potatoes. My ping is average around 20-30. And I don’t lag except for when in fights with big groups and the server gets bottlenecked from all the 11111111111111111111111111111111 spamming. FPS is around 80 or so average but in these fights it drops to 20. The issue is server side not client side.

I play on a Linux and usually lag is not an issue. The internet is fine, my computer can handle the game, the skill lag sucks, but it doesn’t happen more than usual for me. My problem is so many players in one spot makes my game unstable. Typically I get one chance in WvW, the moment a zerg appears (friendly or enemy) all waypoints are off limits. That means if I die its game over, using a waypoint will make the game crash and there’s usually too much chaos for anyone to rez me.

I want the old divided servers back. Eredon Terrace vs Anvil Rock vs Isle of Janthir. Blackgate is cool, the people are nice and I’m glad we got teamed with them, but I prefer being able to actually play WvW. As is, I no longer get to enjoy it at all.

theyve made a huge mistake in opening t1 up to cheap transfers by way of not changing the way server activity levels are calculated. transfer to et and win some matches, stack bg today! only 500 gems!

Skill lag on the server is very real, it’s not a client issue. This is experienced from anyone in the area. We’ve had this issue, and have seen it very often, in T1 for quite some time especially in EBG fights between all three server zergs. I can understand some lag but we’re talking about not being able to use anything for MINUTES at a time.

I have not yet experienced skill lag outside EB without large 3-way fights. This means 2 possible reasons for it:

1. EB map itself has some problems that cause server not being handle the battles.
2. Server simply can not handle battles with more then X number of players.

Only 2 solutions exist to get rid of this. Either emove or redesign EB map if it is the cause. Or reduce player cap per map (it would actually mean increase number of available maps but reduce their size).
