Not sure if this is the appropriate place for this, but I wanted to give a shout out to a squad of three SoR thieves that were simply amazing.

After capping a camp in EB and camping around killing some people, a few of us PUGs (not even in party just roaming PUGs) managed to take back the camp. Afterwards we chased the thieves for a while one stopped running. From that point on his two friends just sat on the hill and watched, while he 1v4 or 1v5 us. Now he had applied fortitude and guard leech, and all that jazz, but I was still thoroughly impressed. After a few minutes of dancing around, not dying, but not killing us either, I’m guessing they got board, so he and his buddies came and just finished us off like nothing.

Anyway, just wanted to say I was pretty impressed (enough to come to the forum and give them a post). Cheers!

I heard from some of the best thieves that 1v2 is easily plausible but 1v3 can be tricky.

Perhaps thieves may want to comment if this is, all things being equal, true or not.

1v3+ is definitely possible for a skill thief player. Most ppl QQ about thieves because it takes no skill to 1v1 on thief for the most part, But any thief that can 1v4+ is a master of the class, not some scrub looking for easy kills lol.

When you hit 1v3 or more it gets harder to pull off any stomps because 2 people can rez faster than you can stomp without quickness even if you are invis.

Oh its possible for sure. It is a ton of fun. You need to be highly spec’d in shadow arts and/or acrobatics. That, controlling the fight, and getting good at stealth/blind/shadow step/steal stomping its a ton of fun. I love 5+ minute duels 1v3-6. After that its usually too much pressure for pretty much any thief nowadays since people are familiar with thief mechanics now.

TBH anyone who can do better than 1v1 is good with the class, and over 1v3 you’re the master of said class unless you’re fighting level 2 characters.

Ive done and won 1v6 vs PUGs killing them all plenty of times. Did this last week against a JQ pug group including stomping 3 of them whilst I had to DPS the other 3. Applied fortitude, Guard leach and orb buffs make a big different in this scenario. Although I have pulled it off a few times before I had guard leach and applied fortitude and before the orb buffs were introduced.

I have never pulled off anything higher than 1v6. It is just too much to micro and factor in. But this is all pug groups. Against actual good players, 1v1 is all your going to get. 1v2 is not viable against good players. But good players are rare in this game.
