Let’s face it, holding a tower or keep for an extended time isn’t easy or cheap. Some sort of reward for pulling it off would be nice, and might encourage others to get organized and try.

I thought that a guild who claimed a tower/keep will earn some influence from this, but seems I was wrong.
WvW rewards was made with PvE in heads. Just go and kill some grubs.

It seems like the guild claiming mechanic is pretty shallow right now, and all it really does is give any bonuses the guild has researched, the only one of which I even think makes any kind of difference is the supply one. I hope it gets fleshed out more in the future.

Don’t count out +10% health. That is probably 2000 more health per player which is nearly equivalent to having one orb.

Holding keep is just too boring so reward doesn’t help. When we get keep after couple min it’s empty and enemy can just come and ninja it. I don’t really understand where some people find motivation build 4 catapult behind every door and sit their keep whole day.

I don’t sit our keep all day, I’m active at all points around it, but I’m the first back when it’s attacked and it gets repaired immediately after any attack.

As for the guild research, yeah it’s effective but it’s not really a “reward”. We had to build the influence and spend the time too to get those ready for the rematch.
