Sorry to say this, but the BL update has fully ruined the game’s WvW experience for my wife and about 50% of it for me. (I still find some purpose in PvE).

We are on a Bronze server (RoS) and had many good fights on any given night.
~10 vs. ~10 is a really nice fight in which tactics really show their worth.

Nowadays we roam the BL’s, knocking on doors and capping stuff, but no real encounters with like-sized groups as we were used to.
If you want to run into enemy players, you have to go to EB…
What you find there is Blob vs. Blob vs. Blob
That’s no fun at all, even if you wipe them.

I would really appreciate it if the old BL’s would return, because the general atmosphere in our WvW guild has turned to ****.
Another idea I’ve read which I support is if the Desert BL would only be 1 of the 3 BL’s in rotation between matched up servers.

I seriously have loved the game to the fullest since before launch and I’m heartbroken that I’m at the point where I will be downgrading my time spent in-game.

The biggest fail is that desert borderlands are empty. Even on prime time.

Players are flocking on EB only. There is 2 hours of blobs in EB in evenings and after that completely empty WvW.

The borderland map has such a potential for all kinds of tactics, but I have yet to experience anything other than PvD.

Maybe it would be better if there was just 1 BL for bronze tier with 2 resets to rotate corners during matchup.

No these changes are not good… autoupgrading and the new maps are terrible ideas and have to be removed until its to late.
