Specelist or all-rounder

roll warrior/guardian
all-rounder specialists, they are awesome at almost everything
Anet has let them stay on the top of the wave for almost a year, by now its obvious its fully intended and not just plain oversight. take advantage of it
Why is it then, that most warriors and guardians I met just melt away. If they are so over the top, shouldn’t I have seen that?

probably because you play in FoW, the absolute bottom of the barrel when it comes to competitive WvW, and everyone there is either horrible at WvW, doesnt take ir seriously, or most likely both
come to tier1-2 and see how some guardian/warrior guild groups can go thru a motherkittening firestorm like they’r taking a walk in the park
yeah, the “I insult you then, cuz you play on the bottom tier”-answer. I’m not buying that. And just because you have issues won’t make me pay that much gold/gems to transfer.
I have heard that argument from the “let’s all stack here, cuz there’re rewards here”-servers, that we would be bad at competetive WvW. What does that even mean, competetive? WvW is a numbers game, that is the only competition. If you mean that, than we are horrible at it. Don’t be a kitten about it. Personal skill and being able to compete with another server are completely different things in WvW, you should know that.

On the other hand Typin most likely does not have the luxury of hiding behind a zerg and taking credit for server achievements… although if guards and warriors melt away, they could just be bad but that can happen anywhere.
I’d imagine you’d say specialist if your majority of gameplay is small group play, right? If you have an organized group, having clearly defined roles helps then trying to do a little of everything. An all rounder is better in larger, less organized group when you just can’t rely on everyone to provide something.
Of course, there are many shades to this. A guardian is going to provide a lot of support regardless of build, just because of the inherent way to class is made.
for there you have been and there you will long to return.

it wasnt an insult, its the plain truth, if you play in the bottom rank server. which probably has less WvW action in a week than a tier 1 server in 1 hour, you cannot claim that you know what guardians are capable of
buy that or dont, I couldnt care lesseither way. you asked for info, you were given info. if you dont want to learn, so be it, your a perfect match for your server
@Konrad Curze:
You say you don’t want to insult, but then you insult again. Even a subtle insult is an insult nonetheless. And I asked for your opinion, which you gave. But then I asked for closer explanation and you resulted in insulting lower tier servers. That is not the way of a proper discussion, but matches the QQ mentality of the GW2 WvW community.
@ArchonWing:
You are right, I am more used to small scale play. Roaming with some of my guild mates where each of us in fact is suited best for some specific task. And I am used to facing servers with higher population. Even the other roaming groups are usually more ppl than we are.
