Stability in WvW: A proposal
Smart placement of boon stripping skills already counter this. Just saying.

Sept stability is like one of the last boons to go.
It was 2 vs 20 but its ok we got’em both!

I do not consider this to be a counter to my argument.

With all of this (potentially) new stability running around, some skills would probably need to be reworked.
Indomitable Courage: 2sec of stability and breaks stun.
Balanced stance: 6sec of stability.
Maybe take a second of stability off of rock solid.
I would question a pug’s ability to coordinate 2s AoE stability well enough against a concentrated group that is training CCs in the first place. They’d have better luck delta splitting and hoping some Necros brought WoC and Focused Ritual, a bunch of them came in with Corrupt Boon, or the enemy’s Stability wore off.
Until they get that coordination down well, there’s no smarter use of CC required. The onus of making that timing improvement is on them, and then you just delay your CC train by 2 seconds before running it on them anyway.
I just don’t see how it would really provide the benefits you’re mentioning. I also roam around as a Necro who gets no Stability whatsoever, and the first thing a new GW2 PvP needs to learn, in my opinion, is how to deal with CC chains. Being handed Stability from someone else playing really well won’t teach them anything, or it will make them feel dependent.

I see your point.
I would rather the players have the tools then not though know what I mean.
Currently pugs dont stand a chance at all whatsoever unless there are 80 of them. I love crushing them, but in less then hardcore wvw servers it makes them leave. No fights.
I think more cross-class coordination would benefit everyone and encourage smarter and more evolved play.
If the radius was increased then you would not need a guardian in your team for stability. It would promote different team compositions and thus possibilities. Would this make the guardian irrelevant? I dont think so. They still have excellent access to protection and condi removal, best in the game in fact. That alone makes em invaluable.
