Guild Wars 2

Hello all, i played GW2 on and off since release but allways only played sPvP.
With the horrible state sPvP is at and nothing else to play i would like to go check out WvW.
Is the population still healthy enough to find enough action?
I am on Desolation and have no clue if this is a good server for WvW or not.
Also, where do i go to find a guild for WvW?
I dont really like zerging and prefer small scale/medium scale roaming/zerg busting.

Desolation is the strongest server in EU right now, you should have little trouble finding activity regardless of the time you play. Bear in mind if you play during EU prime you’ll likely encounter a fair number of blobs, but there should also be plenty of roaming action too.

As for a guild, try asking in mapchat in a WvW map, or joining the community guild and server forum and getting to know people and guilds there.

why wouldnt you just go into wvw and see rather than coming to the forums and asking first?

The easiest way to find a good guild to play with is to go into WvW without a guild tag and play the way you would like to play. Either roam on your own and group up with people taking camps and engaging other small groups or run to a tag and got on a havok group or blob. Play for a while and see how you like it. Someone will invite you to join their guild. Join and give it a try.

Just a personal thing, but If they insist you fill out an application first, wait for another invitation. The friendliest guilds in my experience are those that invite people playing with them, add them to comms, talk and play and let things progress naturally.
