Guild Wars 2

The new version of the Obsidian sanctum map was announced a while back, and according to the sticky on it, the map is projected to release in November “barring any unforeseen difficulties”.

so what’s the status on this map? have there been unforseen difficulties? Will it only be released at the end of leagues? I’m not asking for every little detail about the map, but a more updated time frame would be nice, and possibly a few juicy tidbits.

We know that it’s selectable from the WvW menu currently, but other than that, we know very little

I’d have to guess this coming tuesday we will get to know when they announce the patch or on the 26th after the patch (last patch of november). Otherwise I’d assume a delay… though it would be nice of them to give some feedback on it.

Also, is it really not possible to already patch real quick just to have it added to the drop down? it really is annoying to have to queue for EB when you just want to go to a deserted map for some jumping fun :P

I’d rather leave the current obsidian sanctum there, because it’s a decent way to get PvE players and achievement hunters to help hold the keep. If you lose your keep on EB you lose access to the JP, so that may get some players to help when they otherwise would not.
