Q:
Just a thought here guys, go easy. [Aimed towards those solo roamers like myself]
Note: I am not QQing about me dying to zergs, since I just stealth out of there. I’m just expressing an idea, nothing more. Yes I am well aware of how to actually be useful in WvW. It’s those I’m bored of zerging type moments I’m talking about.
For the lonely explorer, here’s an idea: What if say you roam around in whichever WvW map you desire and no allies are within X amount of distance then you will receive a party invite from NPC guards. Two Veteren Scouts and Three Guards – level 82’s. They are at your disposal while you are out of combat.
For example, say you are feeling a bit anxious in a particular area and no ally is near you so you accept the invitation from the NPC’s and poof! the NPC’s spawn in formation behind you ready to attack any called enemy [the target MUST be called upon to start the NPC’s attacking otherwise every agro will create a huge nuisance].
However the lonely explorer has felt some relief with some allies strolling nearby. This caused the NPC’s to disappear as the explorer has come within X distance of an ally, as said before. [Will trigger no matter the state of combat]
As I said before you CANNOT accept the invitation while in combat. If you are feeling a bit confident, de-spawn the NPC’s by disbanding the party.
I think this idea wouldn’t be so bad, I don’t see any situation where it would become unfair — since we all would have the option to have the NPC’s spawned [as long as you are not with ANY allies]. This would encourage more solo play and maybe a bit more satisfaction and comfort to the unfair advantage of numbers at times.
The reason I’m even bringing this up is for those people who may not always have friends online or who don’t know anyone on the game. I could see a little bit less zerging? But maybe that’s just me. The way I see it is that the gamer who has no one online tends to migrate to the blue icon on the maps, causing zergs to form.
Just an idea. Lets hear some other thoughts?

Can’t have it both ways either join a party or play the solo roamer.
When I’m roaming getting smashed by a group is just what happens sometimes.

Hello,
What some folks do is the type in map chat and look for 4-5 other guys to form havok or ninja groups for taking out dolyaks, supply camps and stragglers. You’ll be surprised at how many people are game for going behind enemy lines to harass their stuff. Try it, it’ll be more fun. WvW is really a great place to get people to work together. It’s a MMO, most people in WvW are willing to party up and do something useful.
