Guild Wars 2

This week I was like, I don’t really need tickets anymore with 6 full ascended characters. Guess I don’t care if I get diamond chest this week.

Had to happen eventually I suppose.

Good luck to those still slaving away their game time on them.

I figured that out after week two, haven’t gone past mithril since. OTOH I always tell myself I’m going to stop at gold and I’ve never actually quit before I finished platinum, so perhaps I’m not so smart after all . . .

I haven’t once checked how many tickets I have. There was a time where I felt compelled to WvW as much as possible for things like server pride and the war effort and, looking back, it wasn’t worth it. So when I saw something else that suggested I put in extra hours, I didn’t think twice about turning it down.

The game’s much more fun this way.

Not gonna lie. I’ve maxed each week, but not because I am tryharding. Just playing like normal. The truth of it is that I really don’t care if I max. Not gonna put in more hours than I normally would, and I like it that way.

your a boss i have 1 toon and half with ascended armor from WvW drops im so cool!
i never really give a kitten about getting ascended armor since the exotic from WvW vendor is equally good.
its not like ur getting completely wrecked by ascended armor people just like people with legendary dont rip thru hordes of enemies..

I will prob stop caring after I get full t3 medium skins.

Just checked my wallet and i got 570 of them so far. My Care-O-Meter still on zero.

I get tickets a lot faster than I get memories of battle anyway . . .

Never cared for the rewards in the first place.

I stopped caring when it became obvious what a grind it was.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I still like shinies. I’m just not in any rush . . .

i dont have crafting maxed nor do pve/fractals.
its been a pain to get mats and gold even to go from weapon crafting from 430 to 450….

even on wvw im being flooded with tons of chest that endmore time salvaging stuff or running towards the merchant.. :\

i figured that out on the second day when i realized im too low a rank and i would have to play full time job hours to get the max tickets. So i just play like i normally do and whatever tickets i get is fine.

I never cared about maxing out – I generally go for wood or bronze and then stop. As long as I’m able to make some progress, it doesn’t really matter to me if it takes a while.

It does annoy me that with my rank and server it usually requires getting at least some Outnumbered to even be able to get to wood in what I consider a reasonable timeframe.

I think Aeolus’ statement about not caring about skins indicates Aeolus does know – by now, most people have enough access to exotic gear that if you’re getting the WvW gear, you’re either getting it for the skins or for Ascended, not because you need another exotic set. I daresay that even if you did need another exotic set, there are a lot faster and cheaper ways to get one.

Usually just casually playing from Friday night to Wednesday night I get through diamond with a booster or two. Seems fairly easy to reach. This week it took me till last night, but I did not play on Sunday or Monday so..

i would not mind if i could get the items that needs the crafting on the WvW merchant with a high price, but IMO still it would feel wrong as well, getting the armor tiers is a mess on this game.

Anet should just make withe/yellow/orange(green after upgrade)/purple(dark purple) type of gear… theres to much trash/clutter and that made this game crafting a mess since ascended was a forced tier added to the game….

And then they could make a small reorganize on gear crafting and wayss to get it.

we players have to much armor types and mostly even a new player can get easilly rare or exotic.

Could be possible to upgrade with Tickets and other materials Exotic to ascended?? it would be green color armor, wich could not be stat changed as trade off.

You didn’t understand the other poster,

*Exotic is tickets with no crafting
*T2 is tickets with crafting
Both are same ticket price to unlock the same skin

To get T3 you need to unlock the skin from exotic or T2 (these 2 are the same skins)

*T3 is tickets with no crafting, double ticket cost

Once you buy the exotics or T2 pieces the first time to unlock that skin, you can then buy T3 pieces at any time for double ticket price, no crafting component needed.

This will be great in the long term for wvw players wanting to make alts down the road when they have the banked tickets from one expansion to the next. It’s like how badges work, only meaningful.

Chest and legs look great on charr. I got the chest so far. Then that new outfit came out in gem store and I stopped caring again.

Also can we ever get a kitten patch that adds more than updates to score and rewards? Anet can go around saying they spent so much time on WvW. But we’re still playing the same game as 2 years ago, only the numbers and blinking screen text has changed. Give us some kittening balance while you’re at it.

I dont think so, t3 is tickets with crafting i got quite some stuff t2 unlocked(already had the mystforged skins from WvW tournaments) and t3 as well, since i dont care about the skins on t2 cause i already have them, the t3 stuff i still need the crafting maxed for the Grandmaster Marks,

Wich is what at least we should buy with tickets as well imo, but still would feel messy cause the crafting and rewards are a mess of a system and the gear tears are on the same feeling.

I know i went offtopic but, it has a follow up logic, as in rewards would be better if they were better organized.

No i didnt, t3 is tickets with crafting i got quite some stuff t2 unlocked by default and one or other on t3, since i dont care about the skins on t2 cause i already have them, the t3 stuff i still need the crafting maxed for the grandmaster weaponsmith orbs.

There is no option to get T3 with crafting mark thingies.

T1 = Rares, reward track box
T2 = Exotic or Ascended, tickets or tickets +marks
T3 = Ascended, 2x tickets

You can get ascended from skirmish tickets without having to craft, it just costs more tickets. It’s how they mean to keep ascended crafting relevant. Not sure it will work though.

Tickets can get you other things like the legendary backpack and a gobbler for those wvw things etc

Seems to me they sugarcoat the existing problems with shinies/pips/rewards.

The first set of ascended gear is t2 which is the one that requires marks, but you can bypass getting that by getting exotic t2 instead, then u unlock ascended t3, which requires no marks or crafting.

To be even more clear, there is 2 paths to t3, you can either get ascended t2 or exotic t2, both unlock t3, which requires no crafting.

Yeah, but the things I’m getting with the tickets aren’t really things I’m willing to spend gold on. They’re just nice ‘thanks for playing’ type bonuses. I appreciate them, but I’ll take them when they come, no rush . . .

The problem is the WvW team only has the ability to control these things.

Anything pertaining to skills/profession design/balance comes from a PvE team dedicated to professions, where input from others is pretty much ignored unless the problem comes from PvE (like trapper thief being nerfed a week after it soloed a raid).
