When can i expect free wolrd transfer from dead server?

My choice of server at the begining proved to be very bad. When will i be able to transfer for free?

Probably once they will do something with match ups, for sure not sooner (since changes weren’t announced doubt it would be faster than 2-3 months)

Just before the start of the next season is my guess, which will be around sometime in autumn.

I think you’ll find most servers dead at the moment, even in T1.

The two most Active servers in the EU are Desolation and SFR, but I’d like to think people could spread out a little and go to Servers like Gandara or some Silver League Server.

Then again I don’t know what’s going to happen to Silver League Servers in the future with some Guilds moving up.

Gandara aren’t silver, they are 4th, PPT heroes from Gandara have awoken. They probably tanked to win silver league too, they shot right up after leagues, tsk tsk Gandara.

I’d say farm dungeons a bit to get the gold>gems to transfer off rather than waiting. It’ll save you a lot of grief.

I re-edited as I did not mean to say Gandara are silver, still I don’t think its a problem since the Tiers is/has changed and will continue to change. You have no queues anymore and it doesn’t look like you’ve changed much – you get the best of both worlds, you even Gankdara into the morning!

Oh I forgot to say, I think the way they allowed free transfers to certain servers for a large population to stack before the tournament was just plain stupidity and lacked logic on Anets part.. one mistake that they hopefully learned from.

I still find it both amusing and sad how you still after all this time, unjust, blame a single guild and specifically me for what happened on Underworld. If there’s one person who seriously spent time and energy on keeping the variety of guilds and their leaders together it was me. Sadly underworld was already declining in terms of WvW numbers which was a result of guilds moving off the server and the clashes some of the guild leaders had. I tried to counter this by hosting meetings, relieve tensions and byattracting new guilds to UW in which I succeeded, but this only bought us some time before the inevitable happened.

With the announcements of the leagues system many guilds were afraid we would enter the silver league as bottom server which would result in a season full of steamrolling over us. Therefore we considered the option of attempting to enter the bronze league to have more fair fights, get practice and enter the silver league after that.

Both options had ups and downs and the community was almost equally divided. No matter what would happen, people were going to leave and in the end did so. If there’s someone to blame its Anet because their leagues caused the community to split. Personally I’m not blaming them, or anyone else. The leagues were a nice idea even though my beloved UW had to pay the highest price.

Somehow you were and still are looking for a scapegoat to vent your frustrations based on assumptions and emotions, not by facts. Clearly we are both devastated by what happened, but I managed to put it behind me. In the end, I also had to make the tough call of leaving the server with my guild, because members were unhappy on UW and we wanted to try our luck elsewhere. Everyone has a right to choose their own paths and it is not up to you, or anyone else for that matter, to judge my and others’ their own decisions.

Out of interest, are you still on UW?

Edit 1: On topic: Sorry to hear you are still on UW Urejt.5648. I hope you’ll find someone or some guild to help you get out of there, if you feel unhappy there.
Edit 2: The reason I posted this is to avoid further injustice by your harassment and to show others reading this my side of the story.

Wow.. you must be new.

One guild doesn’t kill a server its community does that all by itself.

UW used to be a darn fine WvW and PvE server butWizard is correct.. UW was in serious decline even going back a year+ ago and much of it due to infighting amongst aliiances and “guild wars”…. as soon as a host of major WvW guilds left early on the fires of doom began to ignite, fuelled further by ANETS timely addition of Season 1 and free/cheap transfers to other server.. it was inevitable that a further chunk of UW guilds would migrate for – 1 better fights, 2 better population balance, 3 better community and 4 rewards/loot of course.
Me and my small guild have been in game since BWE1 and stayed loyal to the server (or maybe we were just too cheap and lazy) until about 6months ago (months prior to the WvW Tournament and at a cost not free). Unfortunately it wasn’t just WvW now suffering but all aspects of the game across the server – PvE activity began to diminish with many events simply left empty.. we could forget completing LS events, TEQ or 3HW as a community at that point unless we guested to other servers, which goes against the principle of having servers in the first place imo.

So Veeber if your going to place accusations and blame on the situation.. maybe you need to point fingers a little more to the heart of the game rather than an individual guild / guild leader… in fact you might wanna show some gratitude to Wizard for at least attempting to pull things together for UW and trying to make a difference.
