[Sugg] Existing WvW players to front of queue
You’re not supposed to hop between maps to bring supplies. In fact, Anet should just change it so that when you load into a WvW map you lose all supplies carried.

“You’re not supposed.”
Is this something ArenaNet have said themselves or is this just some wishful thinking on your side?
I don’t know, I quite like the map hopping to grab supplies to help another map, it gives a little bit more spice to it all. But I don’t think it should give priority into the other maps, it should just stay like this. If you want to map hop to help, beware of the consequences.

I admit it’s just my view, but I base it on the fact that disabling supply “smuggling” from other maps would place more importance on holding and protecting the supply camps, and make the war on each map more strategic.
I’ve in the past also voiced an opinion that players should not be able to carry supply in their pockets at all, instead having to transport it with dolyaks or as bundles, further bringing sieging in WvW closer to a real siege instead of “run in, cap before defense can react, leave”.
But yeah. Not gonna happen. The supply smuggling is something that might disappear sometime in the future, though. We’ll see.
If your map has a queue and you need supplies on that map it’s time to split up and capture supply camps. If your map has a queue you should be able to work with what you already have instead of having priority in the queue to port out and come back. The queue issue is also something very few servers have as well.
However, instancing supplies to each specific map would be a game changer but I suppose that deserves its own thread.

It might be meta these days due to low populations but you have to wonder if it is good for the game overall. I personally find it rather distracting as someone who is not following the map hopper blob when a friendly zerg runs thru a border to flip everything close by and then disappears. Which in turn brings out an enemy zerg to run back over it all again. Seems like a lot missed opportunities for good fights to me and feels a lot more like EotM with zergs avoiding each other even when unintentionally.
Maybe a supply reset on map load is another good flux to try and see what effect it has on the meta. I am enjoying some aspects of this months sneak attack flux for the number of smaller fights you bump into but in combo with the map hopper attitude it can still get a bit KTrain centric. Maybe with both at once we would see more map loyalty on all 3 sides and a higher value being placed on camps.

T1 does map hopping all the time.
You can divert an enemy’s zerg by hitting them where they aren’t….makes them either divide the zerg or come full force.
Then usually a small group will say behind to havoc.

alright let me get this straight, you want special treatment because you got their first and nobody else matters. GOT IT. I lol’ed hard at this one. If you need supply go to a camp, if you know theres a queue on the map your not helping anyone by hopping maps to drain supply from somewhere else. Why not also suggest that only certain players get to go in at certain times? Yikes man…
Honesty is not insulting, stupidity is.
>Class Balance is a Joke<
When people went to borderlands to bring supplies, they got stuck to the EB queue for minutes. I suggest that people already in WvW, can move between maps better than people who are just starting their WvW session.
Where exactly do you play that you get horrible queues?

Map hopping is a meta strategy/tactic.
Yeah but as I said, making it zero out at map load would bring out a new strategy to replace that one – defending the supply camps and truly fighting the supply war. If you could starve your enemy for supply on a certain map, they would have to start the war from taking a camp or two, which would probably end up in having more big group open world fights – which should be awesome, no?
Would be nice to see a supply camp all sieged up for defense
Queue on EBG? What is that?
Three empty Borderlands!
I do not remember the last time I saw a Q for any map.
even if theres a queue …all player are equal to a certain point.
I saw queues for the first time on our server during the fall tourney but that didn’t last long. We don’t even have much for queues on reset night any more (Tier3). This sounds like a Tier1/2 problem only.
The delineation of the top seven servers to the rest is quite clear, as my poor server (IOJ) and NSP have discovered these past few weeks (having to play servers 200-300 points higher in Glicko rating).
So, if you hate queues, move out of the top 7 servers and you will have free reign, its as simple as that!
If people are running supplies, it’s either to do a 15+ golem rush or a castle is about to fall after an extended siege. Supply camps can’t help in either case, and the enemy probably controls the roads and the camps in the later case. So, if you’re arguing against ferrying supply, you are primarily arguing against these two situations.
Wat.
Split up from the zerg and go take a camp. Geeze.

If the castle is about to fall after an extended siege and all supply is being controlled by the siegers, they have succeeded in their sieging. I don’t see a problem there.
Why would allowing a 15+ golem rush using off-map supply be a good idea?
There were 21 golems Someone was making a video, or so, but it was not a joke – we had very skilled commander and helpers.
Moves between EB and BLs is strategy. I feel the maps are one place.
Supply movement from home borderland to other maps is natural part of the war. Check real wars.
We have had epic fights in last three weeks after long period of disappointment. That is why we have queue. Opponents are balanced and fights are longer.

Last time I checked teleportation doesn’t exist in real wars (yet), so your point is moot.
I would love the borderlands and EB be one continuous area, with all worlds having exactly one waypoint at the far end of their home borderland. EB would be in the middle.
That would really put some emphasis on scouting and roaming deep.
Bit like DAoC, which if I’m not mistaken the whole WvW is modeled after, with relics (R.I.P.) and all.
SFR gets ebg queues of 70+ over 100 on reset. I’m hoping most of them are on borders while waiting. But no one should get queue priority

I mean, there are portals between the borderlands & EB on the maps themselves so I don’t think your views are aligned with ANet’s intents.

In many matchups there is often a roaming 60+ zerg off map that will return as soon as an attack on garrison begins. The map itself is empty because, well, it’s already monocolor. A multi golem rush is a way to either take that garrison, or get an interesting lord room fight, or to clear seige for the next attack. The alternatives being, of course, to be slaughtered by AOE from above trying to use rams or catas, or building open field seige that is steamrolled and erased regardless of the outcome of the open-field battle.
Using on map supply would take 30 minutes and likely not be a suprise, bringing the zerg back prematurely, and killing the attacking group of terminal boredom.
Also, waypoints is an alternate form of keeping score than PPT.
I hope this explanation has opened you up to new strategies and enhances your WvW experience!
The supply trafficking rewards coverage, nothing else. If your server has no trouble holding three fully upgraded keeps on its border all week long, chances are you can simply keep porting into them to build the omegas to decimate the borderlands of your opponents, thanks to ridiculously uneven matchups. These 10+ omega trains aren’t built from sups grown locally at Victor’s Lodge.

I’m with this dude/dudette right here.
Having personal supplies on every border (aka can’t ferry supplies over borders) would help the little guys. Of course the little one would have harder time to invade enemy borders, but on the other hand the little fella can consentrate it’s presence on one map and have better chances there because the enemy can’t just freely WP supplies from other borders.
And @OP: How about no. And what if the whole Queue is actually people from the borderlands already wanting to get into EB.
Though, I wouldn’t mind seeing if the borderland I’m on already has queue or not. It’s kinda kinky sometimes because you can’t leave the border because you don’t have a clue if there is queue and are able to come back or not (change character for ex.)

If the commander tag wasnt so easily given I would not mind giving them queu privileges.
Someway of doing such a thing would be chosen commanders on servers, but also very much easy to troll with I guess.
