Suggestion: Alerting queue system.
Double monitors. GW2 windowed on the second monitor. Random browsing/youtube/pr0n on the primary. Unless you’re too caught up in previously mentioned pr0n then you should still see when the queue pops.
Having it play a little tune would be fantastic, yes. So would actually having a fully functional queue rather than the broken mess currently in the game but hey we cant have everything now can we?
It would be nice. Even if you are doing PvE or what not, You are more or less forced to sit at your computer and wait for the queue. If you get up you have to come back and check it very regularly to make sure you don’t miss the queue.

I think Anet would prefer you play PvE while in the queue so it’s in their interest to not implement any of these (IMO very useful) suggestions.
One would think it would be easy to implement, one would also think setting up a Queue properly would be easy but they can’t manage that either so I wouldn’t hold your breath.

I still play PvE when I wait in queue, but my guildies aren’t thrilled when I tell them that, mid-dungeon, my queue popped and I’m leaving. In my opinion it has the opposite effect; why start PvE’ing when I have no clue when I’ll get in WvW.
+1 to OP’s suggestion as I can’t wait and watch TV, read, or do chores, without possibly missing my silent queue pop up.

Why can’t we have a checkbox that makes us autojoin? I know it’s an MMO, but I gotta go to the bathroom eventually, man.
for there you have been and there you will long to return.
The new Edge of the Mists will help with this. You’ll be busy fighting for new PPT that does not apply to the overall WvW game and you’ll not miss the que that way.
