[Suggestion]Buildables! (inspired by PS2)
Why couldn’t anet give you something like this with the guild upgrades??? Beside the bs upgrade system they did and all the tactics kitten…

The guild upgrades system could have been better if it wasn’t so gated behind a bunch of meaningless guild grind.

For this to work decently Anet would had to change the game, at least that is how i see it.
To many things to change for a better game experience…….
GW2 is a skill spam based game on a themepark dependable only on heavy gimmicks (oped in the past to atrack players to use them).
The idea that the OP mention is a themepark with sandbox elements/feature, i dont think Anet shares the idea or want anything that isnt easy gimmick on their game.
The GH topic had plenty of ideas with sandbox elements that would fit nicelly on this themepark, yet Anet addekittene guild system for gimmick grind and use.
I wish Anet had developers with your vision Zietlogik.6208….
WvW should be more strategical and less spam fest.

I like the idea, but how could one stop griefing.. You see griefing with siege and supply is allready a rather controverse topic. my fear would be what happens if players place big structures to prevent los of defencive siege, to block gates or portals, drain supplies or simply do not know what to do. Who is allowed to place then? How is this determined? Who deciedes whats griefing? Who takes care of griefing and removes possible griefers.
I do not want to disencourage you. I really like the idea, but as i see it right now in planet side it is not really well implemented, yet the damage is lower because the maps are a lot bigger and the movement (flying, jetpacks, different spawn locations like squad and sunderer) is different.
I am curious what ideas our community comes up with.
Some interesting ideas but really only things that make strong servers stronger yet.

it would have to come down to 2 things, deploy zones (areas that restrict buildable placements) and people with access to the Deconstruction tool to remove unwanted items., maybe commanders could have access to the tool and remove anything from players within their squad as well.
Guild players that owned the structure could had access to the deconstruction option.
Also guild that own structure could make some sorta event spawn for non guild players help in their defense, help build siege, with some circle marks or deploy zone.
Offcourse that non guild players doing that would be rewarded.
Give that power to commanders it would be to much. would start a griefing wars, players would get the commander tag that just to de spawn stuff.
1. Siege in open field is usually frowned upon. And if it’s buildable, someone will use/abuse it in open field. (I’m looking at you Maguuma!).
2. We just got rid of a lot of gimmicks. Players seem to hate anything remotely gimmicky/pve in WvW. You want to add some now?
@Jayne.9251I think, it should change a bit how buildables are managed on WvW, does not ment add more gimmick at leas it is how i interpreted the topic.
Also i would love to see engi asurans fixing golems with supply… they dont know even how to fix their creatons XD, wonder if Anet will add racial features like that :P w/o being overwhelming broken like the banners were.
It is the simple things that sometimes make gamer better, although OP had good intentions, that is why feedback exists.
p.s @OP the initial stuff is to much.
