Suggestion: Ingame Feedback-System?
I had an idea like this. I think it could help. But they should put a delay on it, to avoid kneejerk reactions.

There is an game feedback system already: play what you enjoy and don’t play what you don’t.
Unfortunately, that system doesn’t give ANet much useful information (e.g. Is the drop off in WvW participation due to the maps? The buff? The performance issues? Or a combination of these?).
What’s needed is an area where people can post feedback, discuss changes, develop suggestions, etc. about GW2. What would make this even more useful is if Anet were able to do things like see how many people are interested in particular topics and even ask questions and add information directly into those discussions.
- Maybe I’m missing something here, but that sure looks like these forums to me.

There is a huge problem with this though. Even though i can neither stand the BLBuff, nor the way the current matchup system works, this would be no reason for me to quit WvW all together. I simply don’t see any alternative to it, and running in circles with a PvE Champzerg is even more boring than the current state of WvW. Maybe players (like me for example) don’t have other games to switch to just because some updates kind of ruined the fun for them in WvW, while others still hope that something changes for the better. There are more than enough people that will cope with it simply because they don’t have other alternatives, which leads to them not quitting WvW. And don’t forget that players payed for this game. Quitting it because of some update would equal throwing away the (in my case) 60€ or so they’ve paid for it, and this just to show the devs that they dislike some of their changes to the game? Be honest, even if 75% of the community would hate the updates, almost no one will quit WvW for this. Thinking binary in the lines of
- Players continue playing WvW: Great success!
- Players stop playing WvW: Maybe we overdid it with the update.
seems kind of limited in application, and would (as i see it) at best be capable of showing the devs when they royally screwed up (something along the lines of “give the server with the most points permanent invulnerability”)

A Feedback area like this would of course be nice. And yes, it somehow resembles the forum (this IS the place for feedback after all). And this is exactly the problem: Devon is already ignoring (read: reading but not reacting to them) the posts of disappointed players, because he sees them as the vocal minority (which makes sense, so i can’t really complain about it). So even if 99% of the Posts and Threads on this forum would openly mention their strong dislike of the changes (and this 99% seem to be a legit guess here in the WvW Section), it still would not have any kind of effect on the games state. This is exactly the reason i proposed an ingame-system for feedback, and not some place on the web to post it, because this way there would be no excuse (sounds a bit harsh, i’am not a native speaker and sometimes have problems finding the appropiate words) to ignore players opinion as the “thoughts of a minority”. By asking the WvW players ingame, they would directly get the opinions of everyone affected by the changes, and would not have to rely on a “vocal minority” for feedback

You can also write in to them directly via support (not sure if they’ll just tell you to post in the above section or not though).
No need to have it in game IMO.

There was a feedback system like that on BWEs, so devs could actually use it instead of wasting time on something new. The main question is do they care…
Also it could be much better to have a test server and to collect feedback there.
