[Suggestion] Longer combat log
I would also like some indicator as to what was done while i was up and what after i was downed, in addition to what was proposed in OP.
The combat log is pretty useless in its current form. You can try to eyeball it for big numbers for bragging or to see who attacked you recently or whether your trebuchet shot actually hit the wall. The log does not allow your to recreate the fight for a proper analysis.
Saving the log to a file as it is today doesn’t help you. The log needs many improvements:
- Time stamp precision
- Control condition/boon applications and removals
- CC immunity start/stop
- Missed/blocked/dodged/ignored attacks
- Downed state transitions

Ring of Fire
Search engine found a tool which allows you to save combat log to a file: gw2specs. I haven’t tried it myself; it seemed too much effort for the effect to use.

Ring of Fire
It also overwrites itself after a certain amount of data/time which annoys me to no end when trying to test things.
The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
The log completely misses some attacks and heals. It also rolls multiple attacks from a single source into one attack.
The lack of a reliable combat log that saves to file is egregious in a AAA MMO. We should be able to record effects from sources otherwise it indicates the game itself is covering for bugs since players lack the tools to prove some skill might be performing incorrectly.
