One thing that bothers me in WvW is how cluttered big fights look when you have nameplates on. Turning them off is an option, but then it can be difficult to see allies etc. My suggestion is to implement something like TESO has; each faction has a small colored icon above their head that represents their faction. This would obviously be an option that you could enable/disable.
