Alliances & PVE megaservers (specifically the loss of server-specific cities) has made it more challenging to rally people into wvw and induct new members. Creating a server-wide chat could help address and maintain ties within each server-community. Additionally, an alliance chat could help coordination between servers for the duration of their pairing. There is definitely potential for abuse (gold sellers, spammers etc.) but I think the benefits would warrant a poll/1 week test.

Team Chat in WvW goes across all servers that are linked together and all 4 maps. So we kind of have what you’re asking for. Just not in PvE areas.

The trolls already troll team chat, can you imagine if they had access to all pve zones as well. Chat moderation would go up 10x, and 1000x on maguuma alone.
