In WvW all players are scaled to level 80, there is also currently way to display your world rank to your own team. As such, having your world rank display next to your name instead of character level could be an easy way to have this happen.

I’m not bothered by the fact that I can’t show my rank, but it could give further incentive for new WvW players to continue playing!

I quite like this idea – alongside titles this could be quite nice.

It’d also give the commanders in charge a rough idea about what sort of a group of players they’re running with – they’d know exactly what sort of potential damage their team/zerg/group/whatever could do (ie. if you’re running with plenty of low-ranks, you could reasonably assume that they’re not as experienced as a zerg full of higher ranks).

Ofcourse there would be exceptions to this; alts, players that have been running purely for Wxp since the update, etc. etc, but a rough idea could still be given.

Keep the Upscaled arrow for non-80s but put the rank number instead of the level.

Too much kitten waving would ensue.
