Q:
Supply Removal Traps
A:
That is how it was set up.
If you were able to place, more, that was a bug.
Great, so what is the point of them? They are a great idea, but wth? Only one?
So maybe the zergs can be limited to one golem, or ram, or cata?
If you have two or three people placing supply traps it SEVERELY limits an offensive zerg siege options.
Basically they are OP but not many people understand this and use them.
One person placing them could slow down a zerg, but not when you can only place one at a frigging time.
You place one at the entrance of the camp, run into camp deplete supply – wait for 10 to regen and drop another trap on the depot. Wait for 10 more to regen, pick it up and run away – using stealth (thief or mesmer) run back in when the camp is about to flip and drop another on top of their zerg.
Die a happy death.

Theon has it.
You should have 10 supply, say a zerg is on the outer areas if a keep drop a trap 5’ from the gate or, if they are already on the gate, sneak up behind them and pop a trap. This might not limit their siege options they’ve already built, but it will limit inner attacks. If you’re quick or sneaky get back inside raid 10 supply from the keep and repeat. Congrats! You’ve successfully reduced the commander’s inner siege options to about 1/3rd to nearly zero.
I held a T2 bay for hours with only 15 defenders vs 40-50 hostiles doing just this tactic. They kept resupplying over and over and I kept popping traps on them. Eventually they left to hit a “softer” target. I guess they didn’t want to auto-attack a T2 gate down.
It isn’t as easy as following a tag but it is insanely powerful. To do it properly you need support or a death wish.
Good luck.

I think more are getting wise and sending a runner ahead.

Yeah, that’s why I like to drop them just inside the gate of a keep that is under attack, particularly when they aren’t yet upgraded. Wooden doors tend to melt fast. So why can’t I put more then one and really bust the zerg?
I admit these things are a bit OP, but I don’t see a lot of people using them so far, not on RoF or our opponents. I haven’t actually set one off yet, but I have placed a few that got used.
