If I end up downed by the guards (if they have escort) no rally from yak, also the chest they almost always drop, doesn’t award anything.
Am I supposed to be awarded something from the chest, or is it just the 5 supply you get sometimes?
Why no rally, maybe if I’m being downed by a couple teams of close together yak guards I don’t deserve a rally anyways >.<

The 5 supplies yaks have a chance to drop are actually an item (if you don’t have auto-loot on you’ll see it) and it’s considered “rare” or above, so it generates a loot chest instead of loot bag. If you have auto-loot on and full supplies, it will seem like nothing is in the chest.

You should rally from a Yak kill (I have not tested it) but remember that the Yak guards disappear when the Yak dies, so you should be able to use downed skill 4 to revive yourself assuming no enemy players are present.

if you are currently carrying 15 supply and pick up a yak dropping that has supplies, you suddenly have 10 supply instead

its a pretty old bug and i dont know how it interacts with the guild claim buff or the rank traits

I can confirm that this is still a bug as of a few days ago.

What happens is that if you have 15 supply and you kill an enemy supply caravan your supply goes to 10.

Nope. Doly chests still drop you to 10 if you were carrying 15.

Something that was recently fixed is the bug that prevented you to take 5 more supplies from a guild-buffed camp if you already had 10.

The bug that resets your supplies from 15 to 10 after killing a dolyak is still active (happened to me last week again).

I’m glad it’s finally being looked at, but it’s been reported so many times it’s mind-numbing. How is this only just being found out now? Do you not follow the Game Bugs forum? Do the developers who do follow it just not tell you anything?

That’s true, but you guys should look into an internal bug tracking system or something that at least emails people regularly when bugs get added and so forth. This shouldn’t have been something that Devon only found out through a player post after it’s been reported countless times prior; he should have gotten that information from the bug tracker which presumably already knows about it.

poor communication has been a trademark of wvw. wouldnt be too surprised about the things theyve never heard.

what do you want him to say? there isnt a sufficient bug reporting system / interdepartmental communication has been absent? that habib never bothered looking at the forums except to suit immediate announcements that he was probably told to post by his boss’s boss? there isnt really a nice way to put it. stop looking a gift horse in the mouth and accept that its getting better!

I had an incident yesterday where I failed to rally off a dolyak I’d nearly taken down before being downed… is that intended for you to not rally off dolyaks?

Yup. It’s been mentioned in at least 2 or 3 topics where devs have commented in the past month alone.

The best way to avoid being downed by the escort guards is to not even attack them. Kite them, use some CD’s if you have to (blinds, or stuff like that), but just burn down the yak. When the yak dies, the escorts disappear.

I’m not sure if you knew this, but just in case you didn’t, that’s the best way to deal with escorts

If you are tracked down this one, there is another old bug concerning the 15 supplies buf of guilds:
If you enter a keep from the map it is on, you can grab 15 supplies.
If you directly teleport to the keep with the buf from another WvW-map, you can grab only 10, till you leave and reenter the keep, which again enables to to grab the correct 15 supplies.

Dolyak’s do not rally you on death and the “empty” chest they drop will indeed reset you to 10 if you have 15 from an upgraded camp. I’d assume it would reset you to 10 if you got the rank supply buff +1, but I haven’t gotten there yet to test.

That is just crazy! Actually, this makes me quite angry. It seems I was wasting my time reporting a bug. For every legitimate bug that someone reports, literally, hundreds of people experience it but lack the will to report it.

I know I submitted a bug report on this months ago. To now tell me you guys are now just finding out about this is absurd. It leads me to believe that bug reports are not being thoroughly/properly reviewed.

I guess I’ll stop submitting detailed reports since they are often ignored.

My thoughts exactly, and this is why I did stop submitting bug reports a long time ago.

I appreciate Mr. Carver’s enthusiasm for his new job, however, and I will probably start submitting bug reports again (or just making threads here, since they seem a good way to get noticed) now that someone may actually be reading them.

This bug has been around since the beginning, as far as I know, and I expected it to get fixed when they fixed the bug which prevented players from picking up supply from a camp with the +5 buff if they already had 10. I do look forward to it actually getting fixed now though.

Is there a reason you don’t rally off killing a yak, though?

You can still kill them, just don’t pick up their loot!
