which class would you sayy is a support class.. like support as in plays a big role in WvW/GvG

Elementalist and Revenants because they give lots of boons. Eles also have usefull fields and can be aurashare with the trait that heals on aura application. Shout guardian was also pretty popular pre-HoT but you don’t seem them anymore as much.

probably ele. they have always had a place in wvsw and any zerg. Plus they do most of the group heals last time i checked.

It depends on what you would call support….

Zerg busting / GvG / Raids – It’s usually the Ele, waterfields and so forth with Empower stack.

Pug zergs – Guardians for might stacks, boons, and small aoe heals

Small group roaming – Boon share Mesmer or Druid

Guardians are the universal support class. They have been since release and one of the few classes that have been powerful since launch. They have excellent boon sharing, solid healing, toughest class in the game and get much stronger when others are around them.

All core WvW classes with the the exception of necromancer play support in WvW. Any other class have no place in a good WvW zerg composition (thief, engi, ranger, soon-to-be warrior)

If we are talking about a support class/build that can turn a fairly equal group fight into a victory then a cleric tempest with healing runes/sigils in water stance reign totally supreme, no contest.

But of course no one will ever admit true healers even exist in this game cause ’zerker roolz and guardian 11111111 is the only true way to play. Commanders will probably dump these frontline healers in ranged only parties with zero stab because the only party that matters is 3 guards, a warrior and a rev. Then they kitten when backliners get caught and die, followed by where are the heals.

^ thats probably because you didn’t tell your commander than you are playing frontline aurashare. I mean they can’t smell your build.
Then again things might differ from server to server.
In my experience aurashare healing ele is well accepted and widely used.
