This is extremely frustrating. Imagine being on a lower tier server with limited numbers and trying to get organized so that you can be more effective with low population. Meanwhile, the super-monster servers who already have WAY more coverage than us are trying to pull us up into the higher tier servers?

Anet, I hope this isn’t what you intended. On my server, there is a representative from IoJ recruiting to join them, and asking literally every guild on our server to merge with them, so they can become a larger guild, while the lower server loses players.

Anet, please for the love of WvW make it a reportable offense to recruit on other servers. Its already bad enough with free transfers.

Just take away the free transfers already imo. Long over due.

I agree that free transfers should of went away a long time ago. All the information they gathered during the 24 hour WvW matches doesn’t mean anything now. Since after awhile guilds that don’t see any movement in placement/tier decide to jump ship to a server that wins every week.

On SoR we have had this happen this week. We lack Oceanic coverage and lost one of the only oceanic guilds we have to the server that has been winning every week since we got into T2…

It wont hurt our 2nd place finish every week, but its the whole point. Why continue the free server transfers this long is beyond me.

although I agree free transfers should have been put to rest a loooong time ago, dont hate on the person recruiting from your server…hate on the people who are willing to leave.

make it a reportable offense, for what?? they arent breaking any rules.

I believe it’s just a guild from IoJ doing it. I’m not sure why you’re lumping in T1, or really any tier actually. It’s one guild from one server as far as I know.

I find it funny you would defend someone aggressively advertising like a gold seller.

First, your fears are real. I respect that. However, your fears are also illusory — and this is a witch-hunt.

Second, I agree with and support Cover Girl’s message. This is the 4th thread on this issue spawned within two days.

Principle message: start thread topics responsibly.
Subordinate message: make your argument in a mature thread, don’t spawn new threads simply because consensus is against you.

To lump recruiting in with gold selling is argumentum ad absurdum.

I have tried to be plain spoken, if not humorous in my approach to this nonsense in other threads. While I don’t personally support or endorse cross-server (in-game) solicitation, I have no problem with those that do.

The impact on chat (and WvW) is no worse than the institutionalized LFG or Fractal spam that has corrupted chat since release(s).

We (the larger GW2 community) face a crisis of exodus. Belief that the problem is transfers to other servers is utter hogwash. There is a far more insidious type of transfer happening…

Free transfers are not the problem! The freedom to choose suitable substitutes in an economic basket of alternatives is the problem.

The sooner everyone accepts the truth, the sooner we can stop the horrid EFFECTS that cannibalism is reeking on our community.

When someone repeatedly spams recruitment messages in WvW it is exactly the same level of aggressive advertising that gold sellers use in LA. Your failure to see that is astounding and laughable.

Congrats Primordial Dragons for dragging yourselves through the mud. It shouldn’t be reportable but it is scummy so I’m glad 4 threads have been posted about it. Those threads will ensure that any people considering your guild also get an idea of the quality of such membership. Shoot me a PM when I can get a free rocket with the gold you guys sell.
