What’s sad is that they will keep getting points for holding those objectives when no one is attacking them.

How fun is wvw when nobody else shows up?

Love it or hate it, Anet continues to make a killing in players and whole guilds transferring to escape queues or bandwagoning to already stacked servers due to leagues. Next to opening day sales, the announcement of leagues is probably their 2nd highest profit margin numbers in terms of quarterly financial gains.

Long as the former happens, Anet as a business has zero incentive to do anything and frankly I can’t blame them.

So, why did they start charging for transfers? Weren’t they free to begin with?

I believe it was because of the WvW community complaining, and now we are calling them greedy for doing what we wanted.

Aside from that, I wonder exactly how many people spend money to transfer. It takes maybe a week or 2 of solid farming to get enough gold to convert enough gems to transfer.

Everybody I know that’s hopped servers never spent any money, only exchanged gold.

Makes you wonder what those people who sold the gems for gold are using that gold for? Transfers are lending to increase in the exchange rate, so they are making bank in gold.

Stacking smartly and blindly stacking is two different things. SoR I can log in and WvW and get good fights whenever, can’t say the same for BG currently, but eventually people will shuffle over to SoR and probably overstack SoR for a bit.

Win the league, win the match in the end it doesn’t matter except for the PPT hogs.

I would like to add that if folks are looking to transfer to a T1 server please consider it after next weeks match of BG vs JQ. Especially where PPT goes >300ppt over 2-3 hours. It usually means that the dominant server has queues and it might frustrating for most of the wvw guys to find fights in that timezone. I got friends in BG telling me that they are bored out of their minds when they are in a queue or log on to find only a few enemies to fight.

They were always going to charge for transfers the reason it wasn’t in the game at launch was because the guesting function wasn’t ready. This turned out to be a massive mistake, especially for WvW, because it essentially crippled servers trying to engender a sense of server pride.

or just not getting the higher score, which may or may not be the same thing as losing.

Wait until leagues are over and ZDs leaves. BG will go back to being the weakest of the T1 servers.

I’m not sure if the OP is to brag or actually bring up an issue. Either way, yes, we know BG is stacked right now.

All PVE’ers to BG now… where WvW is easy and the server-wide buffs are semi-permanent. Stack, stack, stack.

Also BG and their “Arms Race” since they say they are the weakest sever in t1..

Looks boring as hell for T1. Sorry, but ick. Number one way to lose good players: 2 hour queues full of karma trainers.

Most of them will be back to PvE land when the season is over IMO.
