Hi,

Wanted to see if the OC SEA and EU time activity in T4 is ideal for us to transfer to. Probable servers are looking like: NSP, HoD, and EBay. How’s the action during these times? are there lots of people? are there blobs? Zergs? roaming? Havoc? Looking to transfer from living dead T8 as there is almost literally nothing to do during those times.

It tells you the strength of each server in each timezone. As you can read on it, EBAY is good during OC but we are bad during SEA (so a little help would be nice). I don’t play much during that time but on weekend I usually see 20-40 players in WvW. Sometimes all spread on all 4 maps and sometimes all in 1 zerg ball. A tag is definitely useful during that time as we don’t always have a commander on the maps but when one pop up he usually get a little zerg.

NSP has some late SEA, not that strong but can definitely field a small zerg. HoD has pug SEA since bana left, which means it’s less reliable but it’s still there. EBay has barely any SEA, just occasional zergs.

NSP has no OCX. HoD has STRM + pugs so they have semi active ocx. EBay has a lot of havoc groups that run in OCX (many are NA players staying up late) so they’re fairly active as well. EBay has no real EU except a pug group. HoD has AIR and a good deal of pugs in EU. NSP has a TON of random people on in EU, havoc groups, ppt guilds, etc…

And for general information about the servers:

NSP is a relatively tight/stable community but are also super fairweathers (amongst the worst in the game, they’ll disappear completely if facing serious resistance, they do it time and time again).

HoD is trash as a community atm, Db basically all left their server and went to HoD, and now all the guilds originally on HoD basically have left (and I hear the Db on HoD are thinking of doing the same).

EBay has a really solid community with no real outstanding issues that are particularly relevant to this discussion.

Personally I’m basing it now on server history since I just came back for a month now. HoD was BW’d hard in S2 and had lots of guilds come and go. Ebay collapsed before S2 but recovered since. NSP been stable in that spot for years. Was considering DH but it seems like it’s going down quick and I wouldn’t want to go to T5 and below. Our alts have found out that the offhours in T5 is not much the different to T6, T7, or T8 they’re only bigger in NA. T3 and above is too blobby with SBI there. T4 seems to be the sweet spot now.

And from what I noticed after coming back,T2 is heavily stacked and the lower tiers have lost significant amount of players, and from what I can surmise GW2 is probably lost alot wvw players. Bronze used to be a hotbed for fights and blobbing.

We’ll be deciding in a week. down to NSP and Ebay.

Hello~ Firstly, thanks for spreading baseless rumours. HOD is hated by a lot of NAs from other servers for god knows why and it is unjust to have non-hod talking about HOD when they are not even on this server.

You must be new to the higher tiers server. DH is going down because a lot of their guilds transfer out due to their full server status. Full server status is very unhealthy for WvW, especially when the server is not T1, they can’t grow and most importantly, they can’t replace the inactives. I can assure you this reason is real because my guild was once on DB and it became full, so full that I couldn’t get any of our local players in, we were suffocating there. Just like what happened to DB, DH is experiencing the same thing.

HOD is most likely to be stuck inbetween T3 and T4. I would like to know if you are looking for fights or looking to stack up server? You must know that unlike NA, there isn’t a lot of choice for SEA, if go too low, you will end up pvding but if go too high, you will need the numbers to match others’.

If you are looking for fights, then, HOD is your answer. Why? Like I said, there isn’t a lot of choice for SEA, in fact, there’s only a fews tier to go to. SEA has a very limited choice when come to WvW. When you are looking at HOD, Ebay and NSP, you also want to know what kind of SEA are there, what kind of mentality their server hold. What kind of fights you are seeking for. For HOD, many of us want to fight but sadly, we do not have that coverage compare to our counterparts to sustain our desire to fight. However, we are still a T3.5 server and we will still be rotating in and out of T3. TBH, I don’t think T4 is that fun to fight during off hours.

You mentioned that SBI is blobby and I agree with you they are blobby but that is also because there isn’t enough numbers in opposing server to match their’s. Mag has always been known to have zero SEA so they isn’t much help during SEA time. So, ytd, when we raid, I assume that SBi have their entire server attacking HODBL since there are two very large zergs and can’t blame them since we are the only zerg at this timing. We can take on either zergs but not both of them together. If you think about it, they are not that massive if we have another zerg.

So, again, if you looking to fight, come to HOD.

If you’re looking for some fun join Maguuma in T3. we’ll cover the transfer cost if you change your mind about moving to t3.

That is very subjective if you are looking at HOD, Ebay and NSP because this is their first recent matchup since the last. I don’t know about NSP, especially Ebay since they are a new additional to T4. Base on the golems ktrain numbers, I can say HOD has bigger ktrain than NSP and Ebay, HOD also currently has garrison fully upgraded while ebg was waypointed earlier on during OCX/SEA, they defended it and got them upgraded.

I’d recommend looking into ebay for t4. They have a couple good anchor guilds in na prime and late na in woe/cot/gh that fight pretty hard. Then their coverage collapses after that.

DH’s full status might mean it has potential for post HoT if their players return. but not sure how that’s going. They also have a fight based sea guild sorta in [sotd] but seem to be MIA for the moment. Which means they have some coverage past na prime.

HODB has some interesting rumors flying around. NSP has NA prime coverage only.
