TC as a server believes in long-term stability. This is proven by how little the population has changed since launch. We are the only server in the top two tiers that has had the least amount of guilds transferred in or transferred out (1). This is because our core population and core WvWvW guilds are fantastic.

Being an unofficial RP server we will always be a stable server population wise, when the march update hits its going to bring more non pvp-ers into WvWvW if we are able to retain even 10-15% of the crowd that gives WvWvW a try our coverage will improve considerably.

It is not that we completely lack people during oceanic, sea, european timezones. We have people on what we really lack is guild organization during those times. If a SEA/OCEANIC or even EUROPEAN guild decides to move to TC you will not only be able to recruit a lot of hardened veterans but you will make a big difference in coordinating and organizing that timezone.

If your guild wants an extremely stable server where you can make a big difference and at the same time grow as a guild then choose TC.

Lots of nice words for TC in this thread. The truth is, transfers or no, we will be fine. Someone from SoR once asked me why I would even want to get to Tier 1 in the first place, with it being so nasty. I thought about it and realized that TC carries this atmosphere with us and someday I believe we will bring it to Tier 1 too.

There are a ton of people on T1 in great guilds watching in horror as sportsmanship and fair play are tossed aside for win at all costs and hurt whomever it takes to get to the top attitudes. They want to win, but they think there is a better way to do it and it starts with respect for the other side. They might be lured to band wagon for a quick fix but if they plan to stick with wvw longterm they are going to want more. TC has that.

We don’t need more guilds to win, we just want to invite everyone to our way of doing things. Winning might happen in the process though.

Here’s the server’s history in figures to show how consistent TC has been overall. No huge blown out jumps to upper tiers, and no sudden dips either. Only a few servers can claim that. All thanks to our strong loyal community that comes with the package of being the unofficial RP server.

We’re competitive, we just want numbers to make it better, with zero compromise on the core spirit of TC – to have the best fun, with cookies.

Honestly, TC should be an option for everyone considering transferring. These guys have been nothing but a blast to fight against, from DIS’s fight club (In which I totally got wrecked) to the epic reset nights.

These guys are a whole lot of fun and a whole lot of good, do NOT sleep on the Garnished Toast!

It has been an honor fighting TC on and off over the past few months, and I can say they are my favorite opponent. They are a Class Act. I would highly recommend them as I have in the past, that if any Guild or Person is looking to make a change, I would take a hard look at TC. They are just as skilled on the battlefield as any other server, and could use some coverage in the gaps, and I can see them to continue the move upward. I can’t leave my Native Beastgate, but If I did, TC would be the only place I would consider. /Salute to TC.

Thanks for the approbation Jado. It has been an honor fighting against Blackgate as well. You guys force us to be on our toes on the battlefield like few other servers can. Which, of course, makes it fun

We like to think that we have done pretty well on TC. Especially considering the fact that we have done it as a community and despite all our efforts to get more coverage, have almost never had the benefit of big transfers.

TC has an amazing community and I certainly hope they get the transfers that they deserve

Thanks to those on other servers for the many kind words about TC. We love you too. (Many of these other people are our ‘adversaries’ in Tier 2.)

Fundamentally, our success as a server has not derived from a desire to win for the sake of winning WvW, but is an outcome of our shared pursuit of having fun as a community. Our server is very friendly to those new to WvW. Many WvW TC veterans and dedicated WvW guilds are more than willing to help teach strategies and tactics to new players or PuGs. Dedicated WvW guilds in Oceanic/Asian/EU regions stand to make a significant contribution to the TC war effort. Other servers will thank you too.

All these kind words from players from other servers including our opponents from T2 are so heartwarming, it makes me even happier to be on this server. I’m definitely Glad I chose this server since the betas.

server wvw is : fun, competitive, great communication with 20+ guilds on same mumble, fun, team effort among top commanders, fun, dolyak level tactics, and did i say FUN.

its for the competitive player who likes serious wvw style and yet have a big laugh at times.

perfect for a oceanic/asian/euro guild that whats to take total control of that time slot because its pretty much empty then, so yea plenty of room [bring ur dolyaks too]

TC should get a disability rating boost for having me there lol.

Ive loved fighting against these roleplayers the past weeks. No matter what the score is or what numbers they have on a map they will defend untill the last man standing. Alot of servers in the higher tiers could learn something from this attitude.

TC you guys are great. I highly endorse anyone’s decision to move to your server! You guys really deserve it. Come back to T2 soon. Kaineng will miss you

So people if you are looking for a fun, classy server with skilled players and guilds, who even when losing have the good grace to stay positive and respectful to their opponents, join TC!

And of course they have Dolyaks. I fully expect to see a lack of Dolyaks around the maps in T2 next week. TC I am not sure you’re allowed to take those…but I never saw nuthin! Take BG’s Dolyaks too…just sayin.

I’ve always been impressed with how TC presents on the forums. You guys seem to really love WvW, but you aren’t these chest thumping thugs I see so much of in other threads. I just wanted to say you left a good impression on me, and I may just transfer off my current T1 server to come help you guys fight. I’m getting pretty tired of how toxic things are in that tier anyhow. I can’t see that changing any time soon either.

We would be very glad to have you, and anyone else seeking a happy respite from a toxic atmosphere elsewhere. Come join our merry band, our few, our happy few, our band of brothers (and sisters).

At this time of night, we do have players online, but we don’t have any guild groups out in force. Guilds transferring to TC wouldn’t be standing alone, they’d be bolstering our forces at night, allowing us to fight back against enemy hordes that come knocking in the dead of night.

Well said. That screen shot makes me proud to be a member of our server, the players here really do make it something special.

Just going to weigh in on all the positive opinions on TC.

If you have a guild that is looking for a home where the fights are tough but the community is loving then TC should be your pick. They have the best community and sitting around T2 is the ideal location for the best of WvW without all the negatives.

I hope TC becomes a T2 mainstay to have many more fights with Kain

Any time I’m feeling tired, I open this thread and it always makes me smile.

Tarnished Coast is an absolutely incredible server. I recommend any off-hours guild looking for a new home to WvW to move here. Their community is by far one of the best I’ve ever come across, their players are great, and if you don’t believe me, their matchups threads are full of cookies and kittens, ACTUAL KITTENS!

They need to coverage help, it is really the only thing holding them back from better performance. Even 1-2 off-hours guilds would mean a huge difference for this server and further help to balance WvW for the greater GW2 community.

If you are in Oceanic, EU, or SEA time zones, TC would be an incredible place for you to call home.

Another thing worth noting, TC’s NA crew often stays up longer then they probably should, so any Oceanic / SEA transfers would already have keeps upgraded and sieged up ready to go for when they log on, and there’d be a smooth transition from NA to SEA / Oceanic players each night.

TC may be going down to tier 3, but we’ll bounce back up again soon and reclaim our place in tier 2. The sole reason we’re being relegated is due to a lack of a night crew. If we had that, we’d be contesting for, if not sitting at the top of tier 2 come next week after BG leaves.

So if you’re looking for a stable, friendly, competitive and motivated server, TC’s the best choice. Looking through the posts by BG and KN only justifies that.

Good luck to Blackgate in t1 and to Kaineng in t2. It has been a lot of fun fighting against all your great people over the past three weeks. I think we have enjoyed the most friendly and civil rivalry of any three servers in any tier. I’m sure we shall meet each other on the field of battle again at some point.

To Dragonbrand and Maguuma: I hope you guys are ready. TC is ready to start picking up steam again during our break in t3 and make another push upwards.

If TC is able to get some more off-peak coverage it could result in T2 being the most evenly contested yet competitive tier with 24/7 fighting.

Please come help Zombie Coast move back up to T2! We’re still looking for players in all time slots!

TC is still very interested in talking to guilds who are considering changing servers. Have a conversation with us on VOIP and we will answer any questions you might have about the server.

We prefer NA Pacific Guilds (Late NA) and Oceanic Guilds but are definitely open to all time-zones.

Don’t run glass builds. Don’t ignore that lone player running right by you (but don’t divert the zerg to kill him) because he may be on his way to solo a camp or snipe yaks. Get people to try a class other than ranger.

TC seems to pride itself on being roleplayers and friendly. I don’t know why you’d want to spoil that by recruiting a bunch of random players to carry you for the 2-3 hour coverage gap you have.

If that’s how you view is, than thank you for that insight, but we’re trudging along at our own pace doing what we deem best for us.

Thanks for the basic advice. I think this will be useful for any guys who come over from PVE to WvWvW for the first time post the W3 patch. As for the regulars, veterans and guilds this advice is laughable at best.

I am sure we understand more about our coverage than you do. We just have a lot of really really dedicated players that pull 12-18 hour shifts daily to give the impression of the coverage we have (even though we don’t really have the oceanic coverage).

What TC really needs are medium sized guilds to really take over and organize that timezone. Guilds (no matter the size) with very experienced leaders during those coverage gaps can make a really big difference on TC more so than any other T1 or T2 server.

Is it bad that I only really want the transfers just to hear all the sexy accents?

All; like I have said before, TC is an excellent server to consider. They are tough, smart and best of all funny and fun loving. Do not underestimate the value of a great attitude to do big things.

Trust me however, as one who has clashed with them in the field, they are hard competitors! I have been staked many a time by my loving TC.

As someone who frequently plays WvW. I can tell anyone who is not too familiar with TC, that this is a serious WvW server.. We are always looking to improve. Our NA presence is very strong. We just need more Oceanic players to maintain the headstart we get, and we will be golden. I just hope other recruits are on the same page as the rest of us. If you guys want a great community and competitive in WvW yet still retaining the aspect of having fun and being casual go to TC. The have a few guilds that are formidable opponents that wreak havoc on the battlefield and we had to consistently be on alert for. They also provide cookies and have plenty of yaks to go around.

As a player originally from Gate of Madness, my move over to TC with my old guild back in October has been the best decision i have made in a video game in a long while. Zones always have players in them, there is always something quirky or interesting going on in our world. WvW is cordial, fun and light-hearted, but doesn’t lack the quality of a top tier server. There is little dissent, and arguments are few and far apart- Tc just has a great attitude about almost everything. It is an honor to fight for TC and anyone seeking a home where they can be serious and silly, where they can make great friends and allies, where they can be competitive without being bogged down in the negativity that often accompanies it would be well advised to look to TC as their home.

Let’s bump this up so more guilds can see this.

So if you come, you won’t be alone shouting out in map and hearing an echo coming back. I’d wager our Oceanic and Euro crew are tougher than the typical militia and guilds out there, simply because they’ve had to work with less to do more. And even when hit full on by some of the bigger servers, we manage to keep hold of our northern half of the map and garrison and fend off all the angry red guys.

Adding a few more happy faces to map during those times will just make our WvW efforts that much stronger.

This is spot on. We do have a presence.. We just want to add to the growing force.

I am an Oceanic commander on Blackgate and the founder/leader of [NOC] Nocturnal Australia, I have to say that if I had to pick any other server for my guild, TC would be where we’d go for sure.

I hope any of the remaining SoS Oceanics/SEA that are considering moving head there.

I’ve never played on a server better than TC in any game in 20 years of MMO gaming. Also an EU player.

Little in the way of egos, little in the way of hassles and drama, plenty of laughs and PvP.
