This is something I been dealing with and witnessing in WvW, yes it is against the rules cause it is along the lines of point manipulation of real life sports and what not. I was thinking of something to fix it and Well, How about making some Tactivators disabled unless the objective is in a repelled or defend state? As in the levers for Emergency Waypoints and Invulnerable walls for example cannot be used at all unless the Objective is in defend state with the three minute timer and repel event. Yeah it would not stop them as they could have an enemy roamer tap the objective but it would put them at risk and distract a roamer which is something and discourage this kind of behavior within WvW.

Just a suggestion or something to make WvW a little bit more enjoyable.

Just to add a bit more details to my suggestion.

Tactivators with benefits that would only be useful during a repel event/defend objective stat would have this effect but Tactivators such as emergency supplies and the charr tank car for camps can be used outside of “Defend mode” for objectives cause that offers some benefits outside of defend mode.

Tactivators should never have been added in WvW. It made the game more unbalanced, less fun, less skill based. The expansion didn’t bring one good thing to WvW’s gameplay.
The best would be to remove it.

If they can’t figure out a way to stop cheaters/bored kids from wasting them then I agree 100% it should be removed.
In some cases I’m sure it’s a new guy but after you play WvW a bit you realize quickly that there are people with WAY too much time on their hands and take this game WAY too seriously lol.. they’ll do anything for an advantage for their server including things that go against the spirit of the game.
