It should just be taken out. Anything that detours people from pvp is a bad thing. Especially on a lower pop server that has trouble being zerged. It is hard to get people to come out and defend/attack if you end up dieing most of the time and just paying a repair bill.
Then take out gold and karma rewards from events as well, or else you’d be making pure but profit (No one forces you to buy siege or do upgrades to towers/keeps).

Yes, absolutely, I also think it is the person who is killed should have a badge. For if it is the winner who won badges, they become better and better equipped and will kill more easily

It further discourages melee players, who die frequently to range, and need all the help they can get.

Maybe if they buffed badges but that doesnt help since they want you to be able to do everything in wvw without needing to pve .
keep repair in but add a PVP loot bag that every time you get a Bag of Loot it will go into that bag for you to claim instead of stoping in the middle of battle to loot

This is because the game stagnates in wvw and quickly becomes a wave battle where one side pushes until they lose too many people then we push back and this continues for hours (its fun to sit and watch it) Over the period of say 3 hours MAYBE youll take 4-5 objectives. Taking a Supply camp is eh on the reward scale but taking a tower or a keep is where the big points and cash is made.
It’s a needed gold sink to balance out the rewards you get from it.
