Not sure if this is working as intended but there is a minor annoying teleport design issue with certain teleport spots that allow players to change elevation and short circuit a longer run. Probably the oddest places are near Hills and Bay keeps on the wall between the southern guard and camp.

For non-teleporters to access this spot they have to run through the doorway and up the hill to gain elevation. For some teleporters they can simply jump up there. Makes fighting SB thieves and the like particularly difficult since they are not only jumping ahead but they are also making it impossible for some classes to pursue. Not looking for a skill nerf but really wondering if this is working as intended or simply a bug of sorts. Seems that teleport shouldn’t allow for such a large terrain advantage.

There are other spots as well but these are probably two of the most exploited during fights I have seen.

the mechanic is designed to be able to teleport anywhere, within range, that does not require jumping to get to.

Still don’t think a player should be able to drop down, attack a player and teleport back up without the defender being able to effectively follow. I know that a player can get to these elevations by running 10k plus without jumping but these abilities allow a player to effectively move 10k plus with one skill.

Any teleport on stairs in WvW fails… Heck even Pistol Whip misses every for in range like you aren’t even there. Once you get up everything turns back to normal.

Any teleport on stairs in WvW fails… Heck even Pistol Whip misses every for in range like you aren’t even there. Once you get up everything turns back to normal.

Yep, but works great if it is a sheer drop. They have some really strange terrain movement issues in GW2.

i can see thief might be more annoying but mesmer blink has a long CD. if they combine with portal they can really annoy you but that’s 2 utilities spent.

Mesmer blink is INCREDIBLY buggy. At one place I blink on top of a bridge, yet if I try to blink across an open field and there’s a slight bump in the way it doesn’t work, and I STILL sometimes when blinking get thrown into walls or staircases or stuck in the map.
