Territories suggestions
Yeah I think this was one of the things slightly overlooked in the Gliding thread. Even if gliding doesn’t work out the territories thing might be useful for other things, like buffs or something.
Maybe if you kill a player in enemy territory it grants bonus PPK? A connectivity bonus would be neat as well.
Anyways I hope even if they do scrap gliding they’ll look into something like this, if they aren’t already that is.
Territories are the most interesting part of the update to me, but they didn’t get any emphasis from Anet. I don’t want to assume that anything will come of them if there are no plans.
On another hand, we don’t have that much detail about how the territories will work, and what it’ll imply beyond the gliding topic.
For example, I’m really curious to see if the map will just be “cut” with lines going roughly admist between two objectives, or will each objective have its own frontier, with possible no man’s land inbetween…
Anyway, as Arimas said, the purpose of this topic is to let the devs know that now territories will be enforced, some players are suggesting things to make the best out of it.
I’m hoping they can use territories in conjunction with the out manned buff. If implemented the right way, it could potentially encourage zergs to split up and create smaller squads running around the map, similar to what it was like before they put golems on the trading post and created the tower champ train we know today.
