There isn’t much point to this thread other than to say Thank You to the developers working on WvW.

I won’t claim to know anything about your jobs or lives but I do know what it’s like to work hard and not be appreciated. I may not always agree, be eye-to-eye, or even on the same page as you guys but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate your work and effort. There looks to be some really interesting borderland changes from just the few screenshots that were captured the other day and my guild and I are excited to see not only how it affects WvW but also to just see it and explore.

There is one thing I know and it’s that both the players and the developers feel very strongly about WvW and want to see it thrive. The forums have gotten very spiteful lately (including myself) feeling neglected, ignored, and some even betrayed. Meanwhile I can see it getting to the developers as well. I’m sorry for my contribution to this. Many of the things I’ve said I could have said much nicer but I let my frustration and sense of hopelessness and abandonment get to me.

I hope you’re able to get this new stuff out soon and I’m looking forward to it. I also can’t wait to see what comes after it and how that aims to improve WvW. I’ll shut up now but just as someone recently showed me some kindness I wanted to pass it on. I expect this thread to get hate from frustrated players and I really understand that, I know how you’re feeling. The entirety of the WvW forums can be complained in so if you can though I’d like to keep this somewhat of a positive area, even if that means it dies fast.

These forums have been quite unfriendly with the devs lately.

Yes, it’s been a year now, and despite what people are saying, WvW has seen quite a lot of changes and looks like more (and bigger ones) are on their way to the game.

Making big changes requires time, and every development team has limited resources. There’s no point in bashing them for what they can’t possibly do!

Keep up the good work guys, we’re looking forward to the changes!

sadly, to correspond with the more negative threads we just happen to be seeing more dev response lately so I hope it doesn’t go to the negative nancey’s heads that being abusive on the forums is the way to get attention. I would bet it has a lot more to do with time and things to share than all the venom being spewed around here lately.
