Lets just say we went from owning Stonemist to losing everything we had in the map up until the point where the only thing standing between us having nothing in EB was a single gate repelled by the remaining defenders.

They were attacking this grub while we still had Stonemist up until the point where we lost Quentin, Durios and Brovost and lost the outer gates of our primary keep.

I have never felt so embarrassed for my world..

Good grub, you done a fine job at distracting the weak minded PVPers..

Yeah. I’m glad I wasn’t there to witness it. I am starting to feel like these Grub morons are purposefully sabotaging us. I mean, they have to be, right? Right?!

We don’t have the population to be able to afford PvE’ers in the WvW map. We just don’t.

Right now, we’re sitting at a “high” population, while Yak’s and Blackgate are full. Do the math!

The Grub is our sorrow and our shame.

The Grub people got it goin’ on, obviously. I should have been there to help them lose Stonemist AND get a really cool item worth 30 copper. That’s the recipe for awesome right there, folks.

I’m not quite sure what makes me more sad — that there are 15 people trying to kill an event mob that gives jack for rewards, or the fact that a level 80 thief actually uses the ambush skill.

I’m not quite sure what makes me more sad — that there are 15 people trying to kill an event mob that gives jack for rewards, or the fact that a level 80 thief actually uses the ambush skill.

What’s wrong with that? I mean, I don’t have it on my bar whilst roaming around most times. But it does have its situational uses.

We managed to take down the grub and didn’t lose anything during, didn’t take anything either though and the 3 badges we’re not worth it.

How’s the Happy Grub today?

Guild WITH buffs claimed SM, perhaps you should have stuck around long enough to look before you raged off in a stomp becase it wasn’t you. BC has plenty of capping buffs to share. Big part of the problem on our server = people don’t pay attention

This stems from heavily fluoridated water.

In the time it takes you to kill the grub I can:
-Raid enemy supply camps
-Take sentry points
-Kill Doylaks
-Help take down undefended towers
-Defend an objective and gain a medal once every three minutes for doing so

You get 40k xp, 1k karma, 6S, a measly few badges

I get 150k-450k xp, 5k+ karma, 30+S plus any loot I get, 20+ badges from NPC’s/enemy players. This varies of course depending how fast objectives are flipping, size of forces, etc.

Who’s getting the better deal? Even a small group of players on a losing team can earn so much more than you can for spending 45 minutes on that grub.

That grub needs to be taken out of WvW, or at least made significantly easier to kill so it doesn’t tie up a team for so long.

It’s not just blue that has to worry about it either… I’ve been on red once and we were making a good push for blue’s keep, up until we ran into the grub that is… sure we killed it despite the efforts of blue trying to pick us off, but by the time we finally did we couldn’t take the keep any more as both our momentum was gone and the enemy rallied up a strong defence by that point.

They need a Godzilla size Grub that goes across the map destroying keeps, tearing down walls, gates and crap. So makes it a nice random event where it must be killed.

Wasn’t me? I’m solo, mate, I don’t care about claiming as long as guilds provide buffs.
The guild claimed SM had only two, +40 to some stats. And it’s when guild can buy and provide nine of those

Lord, I love the grub, it’s a fun fight. It’s even more entertaining to hear the screams of rage from people on your team when people decided to fight it. It’s a game, relax, I think it’s a great people have to make that decision and there are consequences either way.

Need more Grubs roaming around the map.

We got a new religion on our server.

and then us blackgate took then entire EB map and killed the grub
also we killed those kids with siege in the jumping puzzle and cleaned out that place

The grub should be fought while you are conquering the entire map pretty much.

He spawns a chest and you get some badges, I’ve also had some people that fought him with me say they got some blueprints from his chest with the badges. (I got 7 and 9 badges from him the two times I fought him), also when we fought him the second time we only lost anz and one other tower.

Much more badges then you would get from a zerg vs zerg meeting consisting of 50 v 50 or 100 v 100.

Why can’t we just share the grub. Why. Why. Why.

I’m starting to realize why it’s so much more fun to fight on Eternal than Borderlands.
If only all keeps had those guys…

What if the grub were made a playable boss character like the trolls in Lord of the Rings Online? Except now the troll would be the grub. ^^
