Guild Wars 2

I let my kids – ages 6 and 8 – role up characters on my account. I have a great time watching them huddle around the computer playing GW2, especially when they jump into WvW. “Get the yak!” “Follow the commander!” and other lines are priceless coming from the 6-year old. The best part is when they go to bed and I clean up their inventory (they don’t know what to sell vs merchant) and find several badges collected from their fun.

My husband has let my 7yr old do alittle, she liked it ok…. Until she was killed lol. Might let her do some more.

Nothing is as vocal as cat in heat. When trying to speak to 100 people on teamspeak no info could be related, no orders could be given – since everyone broke down in laughter when the cat in loud voice started to whine whenever i started speaking.

My cousin tried it, he went nuts hahahaha funniest thing I’ve ever seen. unfortunately I had like 2g worth of repairs hahahhaha.

I admit one day I had to afk for a bit to run and get some nachos so I sat my cat on the keyboard and apparently didn’t hit not one key.

The cat fell dead asleep and I was kicked out.

Moral of he story is get a dog.

Oh dear, so next time I destroy someone in a fight in WvW, I might be upsetting a 6 year old? That is not a comforting prospect. :|

Seriously though, this is interesting because as much as I enjoy wvw I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed the competitive atmosphere at 6.

Can you answer why bags are dropped instead of loot just coming to us?

Why is it that my precursor hasn’t dropped yet? Is it because of the time I TPed ArenaNet headquarters for not fixing culling in beta?

Why is it that my precursor hasn’t dropped yet? Is it because of the time I TPed ArenaNet headquarters for not fixing culling in beta?

Bags are dropped because some people may have full inventories and would like to clear them out before coming back to pick up their bags. Also, one might think that WvW loot is trash anyway and wouldn’t want to pick up the bags at all. The bags are automatically transported to the player because sometimes enemies are killed in inaccessible locations such as inside towers or keeps.

You’ve never died staring longingly at bags. I have a solution for the full inventory: no more dropping dropping anything but money and rares.

Fifteen years ago when my son was only about five years old I watched him playing a kids video game on his computer (yes … he had his own computer). He was using a trackball for a mouse and it was simply amazing to watch the speed and dexterity of his fingers. I was literally transfixed and couldn’t stop watching.

I sometimes think that the most significant limit to what our kids can do is our own preconceived notions of what they should be able to do.

Actually knew of a guy in DAoC who had his account perma-banned. He was making his kids level his crafting as punishment for bad behavior lol….. That’s about what crafting in that game was….cruel and unusual punishment.

Oh my…. and I already feel bad killing someone who can barely fight back haha… I usually let them live (key word – usually).

A guy in my old guild invited his 5 year old to play on his account for a little bit and found out the next day that the kid had been solo-roaming his thief in EB. The kid got 78 badges and a precursor, so whenever I imagine a solo thief running around I’ll always think of that little trooper. Although the idea that he can barely spell his own name but yet can kill you with a thief combo makes me worry about the kid.

Yeah i’d like to see 6 year olds against my puppy powers.

You will be amazed by the learning power of young kids .
I would say they are like a super absorbable sponge that can suck up anything they lay their eyes or hands on. Show them how it is done once, that’s all you need to do.

The 4 year old LOVES the latest Jump Puzzle 2 addition, the April Fool event- maybe get them on my commander next and see how long he can get people to follow him around the map.

A parent and/or Guardian has every right to let their children play whatever game they see fit. My brother’s ex-girlfriend let her son play Grand Theft Auto at age 7. There’s a reason he dumped her.

It’s awesome to see people of all ages get a good kick out of Guild Wars 2.

Yep, that’s why. Also, if you look really closely you’ll notice you slowly lose copper every day. Don’t mess with the HQ.
