The LAG WARS is Horrendous in WvWvW
Seriously A-net – I set all the graphics settings during WvWvW to the lowest possible, and STILL the amount of Lag you get in big Zerg fights, or anything over 10 players or so, is just ridiculous.
Based on this part of your statement you clearly need a better computer.

Problem on WvWvW is not low FPS but “SPELL LAG” in this situation is imposible beat greater number of enemies beacose works only auto attacks -> larger zerg wins
Fredy Brimstone lvl 80 Mighty Warrior

Of course, but if it starts with 10 people then it is quite clearly an issue with his computer, since it is very possible to play without lag with 25+ players in the battles.

What lordkrall said, even if ANet improves servers he’ll keep complaining cause his lagg won’t go away because it’s his computers problem.
Tip: Remove the dust and get better ventilation going, even with crappy graphic cards (like mine) I can have atleast 10 fps in zerg fights which is more than enough.

FPS does not = lag let alone skill-lag.
really wish people could comprehend that, its only said 10 times a day on the forums.
The WvW lag is Server side and not client side, Please try know what your talking about before giving people dreadful uneducated advice.

And this server side lag would effect EVERYONE, but when it happens with 10 people for him but not happen for 25 people for me it is quite clearly NOT server lag.

Get a better packet loss utilities,
ISP or computer buddy. I am on high everything with no lag.
In a side note…. culling LoL. Working as intended? Still invis players every once in a while on big zerg v zerg fights.

That’s not necessarily true. The way transfer of data works is like a bottleneck. Think of being on the highway and getting off on a busy exit ramp… you being at the very back will notice traffic and it will take you a lot longer than the first person to get off the highway and on the same ramp. In perspective the first few people will not notice any traffic or slowdowns… but as the line gets bigger the delays get longer, and then your road rage kicks in about how your taxes are wasted and there isn’t a single competent city planner in state/province you live in. Would it be fair for the city planner to say "your beater ’89 civic is the cause of your traffic problems, because my Ferrari at 6am got off that ramp just fine and so did the cars behind me "?
Why is it a bottleneck for servers? Because TX/RX is handled by the NIC which is essentially a one lane road that the internet highway loads off to. The way to solve this in the most basic, simplest terms is with load balancing… but it’s a lot easier said than done. Network techs have a nightmare with these things. There’s never a consistent load amount so it’s hard to say how many additionally hardware/or even software is required to manage at peak demand which on any given day varies.
This is basic level networking theory. So just because it works for you doesn’t mean it works for everyone.
Oh. and that also doesn’t mean those 25 ppl on your screen aren’t experiencing lag. I’ve had it happen in 1v1s so either go on wikipedia and read or please stop giving out your “expertise”

+1, one of the better posts I have ever seen on these forums…And what you said makes perfect sense…And to Krall (whose reputation of defending ANET at all costs borders on the bizarre), while we lower tier folks do not see the amount of queues/skill lag that higher tiers probably are accustomed to. We have seen enough to know that it is a server side issue. We have been able to locate zergs without even seeing them on the map just by running around and “testing for skill lag”. I myself have been able to say something like “got 1 sec skill lag at frogs, _ zerg near”, and have them come around the corner from Dane 10 seconds later.
I run the game on top graphics on normal PvE and other WvW area’s.. it runs smoothly.. As soon as I get into areas with high population, and especially in area’s with big Spell’s being cast (In particular, the Elementalist Meteor Shower spell)…
That is how I KNOW, it’s NOTHING to do with my computer, it’s dust content, it’s components, or anything else!
I run fibre-optic net too, 75mb… More than adequate for gaming.

Nope … you still don’t have a clue what you are talking about. ANet uses a system that merges server capacity for WvW. That means there is a dynamic allocation system of some sort that assigns and redistributes server capacity based upon real time need … it’s the only way it could work. I can’t say for certain that it spans all tiers or just the servers in a particular tier, but I’d bet it’s the former. In any case, a sudden demand for server capacity (say in Stonemist) could pull “capacity” from other situations and create ability lag in weird and wonderful ways as the system tries to stabilize. I’ve experienced ability lag while soloing my daily in PvE, and I can pretty much guarantee that I have a better computer than you do.
I’m tired of posting the link that explains this, so if you don’t believe me just search some of my earlier posts for it. If you’re too lazy to do that, at least have the decency to stop posting bad advice.

eternal gets so bad if ur even on the map when a big fight is going on u’ll get skill lag

I have been told the real reason for the skill lag is that the cloud servers and their resources cannot accommodate quickly enough and in time for immediate response to the sudden surge and demand for the required resources.
They are working or re-working the code to set a pre-allocated resource to each world based on the average of the population charts.
Tier one here and I was in sm today with hundreds of people no lag. not saying I have never had lag just not recently.

Solution: go to T8.
Or move to texas and play next to the building that houses the servers?

Lol. Just watch. There’ll be ultra-lag there or something. Cuz ANet.
The lag gets so bad sometimes… to a point it freezes up the game, and an error comes up and the game crashes shortly afterwards.
It’s not just me, it’s a few people I know around here ,all with top end PC specs and Net speed… Yet we ALL suffer same the thing.
The same thing happens with the Events such as Dragons, or Maw, or Behemoth. .etc.. Anywhere with a high density of players and skill usage.
You need 200 mbit ISP for this game, doesn’t say in the game requirements though.
