Tab:
Right and double-click works well, however tab-targeting is a frustration.
Earlier, among a layer of friendly players, I found myself unable to gain target of the single hostile ranger they covered, by using clicks. Tab-targeting got me one set of the roots the ranger had dropped, followed by another set on the second press of the button.
Other cases have seen me ready to fire something into a forward group, but tab-targeting selected the one opponent behind me. Pets, minions, NPCs and a wall have taken priority for whatever reason through tab-targeting, when I’ve wanted a player instead.
The ‘red hat’:
Or the target reticle available when grouped in a party. This is limited. I would enjoy seeing more colours to add options when targeting opponents or siege etc. Perhaps each party member has their own colour. Or perhaps a drop-down menu with symbols, from the target portrait. Personally I wouldn’t want to complicate it too much.
Mostly, I’d like to see a guild member be able to place a different symbol on a friendly to denote the raid/event/driver/lead. Currently organised guilds use the red target for this purpose. It’s a bit rubbish. Actually it’s a lot rubbish.
Previous target:
There’s an option to keybind a function that gives you your last target. It hasn’t ever worked, and is something I would use often if it did.
Focus target:
An invaluable UI and use within World of Warcraft. Probably something you are not interested in adding, but again, I would use it often if you did.
Thank-you. Keep up the good work!
