So are their any plans to increase the amount of wxp given to people who are trebbing towers/keeps? Trebs are the only way to take a defended t3 fortress but it takes ~20min to take down a fortified wall (with 2 trebs). During that time my guild took 2 towers, 3 camps and wiped 2 zergs. Even though trebbing is a good strategy it is not worthwhile for the people who decide to treb.

You miss out on some many rewards while only get 60wxp when the wall finally drops and you do not get credit when your zerg finally caps the tower/keep. Trebbers should get percentage of a destroyed wall wxp per hit or an increase amount of wxp when the wall is destroyed. So if someone decide to treb a fort wall or any wall they will get some wxp that that makes it worthwhile for them.

Honestly, I think this also applies to Rams and Catas in some way. The one who is occupied by handling the Siege is forced to stay where he is while other ppl can run around and gain way more WXP in the same time. This is one of the main reasons why I do not like to Siege at all. Boring and not rewarding.

The Treb life is unfortunately the only way to take upgraded keeps in the end without killing your troops over and over (which means them rage quitting or going for softer targets). The value in resetting a T3 keep can’t be overstated… except in ANET’s eyes.

IMO the keep’s capture reward should scale with the level of upgrades on it. Additionally a trebber should be able to get credit for the event since they destroyed the wall (they’re responsible for the cap actually happening after all).

So yes as far as the Reward vector goes trebbin a keep is the worst. As far as the strategic value trebbing is the best.

No increased rewards until they make it so it is not macroable. The reality is most of the time those trebbers are AFK with a macro firing the treb. Obvious when you see the rocks still flying long after their own team has taken the target.

If it can be macro’d so easily (I can see that it can), why not just make it fire automatically anyway?
Then we can all go and get on with some fighting.

In fact – make ALL siege automatic – even AC.s just need the same AI that the Dredge turrets use. It should be easy. Maybe add a requirement that they have to be fed at short intervals to prevent it being too much of a no-brainer.

I say remove them. If a group of people want to take a keep, castle, tower they should have to do so by attacking it in force not setting up a couple trebs behind a wall that prevents the trebs from being attacked directly. Worse yet, a treb that cannot be hit and manned by a player that is macroing.
