Mind you, this is not a thread meant to discuss how annoying it is, or how reversing back to culling could fix it, etc. etc. What I’d like to know is whether or not this thing can be fixed in some sort of manner without reverting back to older settings?
Would increasing server capacity fix this issue? Or is it more complicated than just adding a few more machines to spread the pressure more evenly?
I’m pretty sure a lot of people on here and elsewhere would love to know whether or not the skill lag was implemented whilst the team knew about it, or whether it was something that showed its face after the culling fix got launched. Unforeseen or written off as not life threatening? Fixable in the near future? Or something we’ll need to live with?
If anyone other than a dev knows anything about this, feel free to add your two cents and maybe I and a few others will become a bit wiser after all of this is done and dealt with.
PS: I’ve seen plenty of people discuss this subject, but only in terms of how annoying it is, or how culling should be brought back to fix it. I also know it’s an issue that’s serverside and has nothing to do with our computer. Anything else and I’m clueless however.
