Guild Wars 2

So, I was fighting against a desolation thief and I managed to kill him. He used thief downed skills, teleporting away from me and stealthing himself. I knew where he was and kept spamming #1 to finish him, but somehow, even if he was still my target, he wasn’t there anymore. So he invited me to party and I accepted.

I immediatly noticed that his character was black, like if he wasn’t in the same map. What does this mean? I didn’t get exp nor drop, I downed him but I didn’t finish him. Where did he go? How did he escape from me? And is joining inavders party a bug or not? (I hope not, since a great thing to communicate with invaders).

I asked him where did he go and he went offline. Is this a cheat or something else?

I’m not sure, but I think that if two players are in the same party on the same map, but different servers they will show up as blacked out. The exception seems to be if you are in an instance like a story or dungeon.

Might have been a lucky queue popup.

Nope, I already have been in a party with invaders and they weren’t greyed out. Also, this doesn’t explain why I didn’t get a kill and when did he go.

EDIT: we were both in eternal, with no queue in any borderland (since eternal wasn’t full, I suppose there were not queue for other borderlands too)

there should of been a loot bag somewhere. If not maybe thieves have yet another griefing skill. Wouldn’t surprise me, the way they can escape from any sort of situation is frustrating to say the least.

I too have had issues piking people. It’s like the channel just stops over and over. Similar to how you sometimes can’t revive people when they’re downed. You char starts the animation, then it just stops.

Should also note if your an elementalist, and go into mist form or w/e while downed, you can alt+f4/logout without dying in-game.

What, you don’t know?
Thieves got a stealth buff. When they’re downed, they can use teleport-to-a-waypoint as one of the skills.
It’s because they don’t have enough escape.

Queuing to a dif BL will kill you if in combat

This has never really happened to me even if I’ve been in parties with people from other servers (on WvWvW) :/

Queue pop would kill him and give a bag.

I wonder what happens if you log into your account from a second PC on a different character? I wouldn’t put it past some people.

There is a hack out there that would explain such a situation, on the map but not actually on the map. That is all I am going to say about it but it should be reported.
