how would you like to sign your achievements in guildwars 2 history ?

do you want to be on the best guild ladder, the best thief ladder, the most karma ladder ?

I personally would like to be on the best party crasher ladder lol – I love roaming and just jumping into random zergs and events – i’ve crashed many a parties and randomly follow good players or 2 – 3 man teams, guild groups, i have no idea what they are about to do, but their skills are evident and I just follow them to wherever , or at least try, some guys are great jumpers and hard to keep up with :p it’s especially fun to do in Dragon Stand – since its mostly empty, many hidden areas to find, and everyone is running around like they are being hunted. made empty ds maps fun for me actually. Try it! , next time you are in an empty ds map, if you see someone, just follow them, some will automatically team up with you, others will try to out run you….and others will teleport when you try to res them, and some will start following you back when you try to leave and it turns into a game of hide and seek lol

Your recent posts about ladders have been interesting. It reminds me of an idea I had about how there could be personal rewards/score every tick for individual players based on their contribution to the match like “Top Defender” similar to personal score in sPvP and how that would incentivize WvW play more or at least make individual contributions more transparent.

I think it’s a good idea. One thing I really miss was being able to contribute to my server with my small roaming guild of 3-6 people. I felt like I was helping with claiming for +5 and such for pug tags, now I need 500000000 gold and endlesss amounts of this and that. small guilds were stomped on with HoT. No interest in guild upgrades anymore, too grindy.

ya, it makes the game “mine” in that sense. I was just thinking of the impact those ladders had in the arcade days ……the whole reason kids spent tons of money in pac man was to sign their name on the top players list. A pinball wizard would be meaningless without a top score!

I really do hope they reinstate Pre HoT upgrades and convert the new HoT upgrades into something just as nice. ( Now it has to actually be something just as nice like never having to pay to charge upgrades) That was a really terrible stunt to pull. Here Pre-order HoT! ( lets not tell them that we just took away what guilds already earned and paid for so WvW players will have to grind their tails off in PvE and spend a ton of cash to get them back instead of just giving them additional content instead.) People feel ripped off because they were ripped off. Updates are supposed to give them more content, not take everything they worked for away.
