Happy new year all guild wars 2 fans!

Since i am close to Lvl 80, i would like to gear up my thief purely for world pvp.

I always play condition & bleeding damage thief with pistol + dagger in s PvP and

wanted to keep this build in world pvp.

Here is my question :

1) Which armor set, pistol and dagger should i manage to obtain for world pvp.

2) How can I obtain them? ( If any of them from instances plz let me know which one)

I use the karma set cond, pre and toughness, with matching jewelery (chrisiola orbs).
But I have guilds running pure carrion( crafted)We both seem to have about the same survivability

This sounds like something I should try out Berserker thieves are getting old.

I had a very nice Condi build for WvW using the karma set in the beginning which was a lot of fun to play (it was something like: 10/0/0/30/30), focusing on shortbow and double dagger oder for better 1vs1 survivability pistol/dagger.

You can buy the Karma set with condition damage in Orr, right next to the entrance of the Arah dungeon (about 45k karma per item). – there are two Vendors though, only one of them selling the condi damage items!

Other than that: crafting!

As far as dungeons are concerned: you can choose which kind of stats you want no matter what dungeon you run- only the runes will change. Depending on which runes (or crystals) you want you could buy them in the AH too though. Some of them (especially if you go for crystals instead of runes) are not that expensive.

Carrion armor

You can find CoF armor with the same stats, and there is an armor set called “Shiro’s XXXXXXX” that has the same stats. Sometimes it’s cheaper. I got mine for 1G a piece way back in the day. It’s good that you used P/D in spvp though. I rarely see any skilled P/D thieves. There’s an increase in them, but most of them seem like wild bill bandwagoners, and can’t actually play the class correctly.
