This hacking needs to stop
Anet did nothing to counter-attack those hacks : hacks are non existent.
It’s not a hack, it’s a feature.
working as intended ?
it’s a ghost hunt. I’ve seen this time and time again, and to really catch someone, either the program has to spot abnormal behavior or the users ram has to be scanned.
This might not be an easy task for a-net to achieve without overhauling the system, or subjecting themselves to people conspiring to get someone banned without proper evidence.
I’ve seen the hacking since pvp came online – it’s a part of the game. Cheating has always been a part of games since before the internet – at least now you have technology to help curb it – but that becomes an issue all it’s own with privacy rights.
Tough gig.
The Cheaters challenge: “Prove it!”

Problem is that even when you take the effort to record a video and submit it via the available external CS system, along with hundreds or even thousands of in-game reports of such over many days or weeks, a-net still does nothing. Believe me, we have been through this several times in our guild.
In most games I have played before, for example WoW, multiple in-game reports will usually flag a GM that will show up within a couple hours or 3 days at most if its a weekend, that will follow the reported player(s) and take action upon witnessing the actual violations, not so here. The hackers continue to hack until they get bored of it and stop on their own.
There are no in-game tools to report someone for hacking, and not many people can record while playing WvW due to technical limitations (client side lag and system resource limitations). Couple that with indifference of the game devs and its a horrible situation.
Unfortunately, you have only 2 options in this situation.
1. Do nothing, Play “as is” or leave the game and/or WvW
2. Collect at least some higher res screenshots, call out the hack, the guild, server, person here on the public forums. You will get an infraction for it, and maybe even a possible ban if you already have infractions, but publicizing it is the only way to have any action taken against the hacker(s). Post this in off-hours so it sits there for a while until a mod can get around to it.
There are no other choices as collecting and providing evidence via appropriate structure is just a complete waste of any time and effort whatsoever.
Yup contacting support leads nowhere. When i recently tried it It took them 6 days to respond with an automated message which wasnt really a response to anything i said.

i suspect the problem is bigger than what it seems – I remember in gw1, once they got a hold of how to deal with it, that big grim reaper use to make an appearance and cut down a character – many bot accounts got taken out like that. I got to see that reaper in action a few times in Hoh. – I suspect they will address it the same way once they get a handle of how to deal with it. It really wouldn’t be wise for them to talk about it much on the forum anyways because it will only serve to warn cheaters of how anet plans to fight them off. so i’m guessing they are being ninja about it.
