Well if they capped all that without any resistance and thought it was fun, they can always go to EotM while they wait them to be capped back. You’d be surprised to know how many people there are in WvW that don’t really like fighting other players.

Ehmry Bay moves up a Tier and someone from Tier 5 moves down, it’ll be even worse. Someone from Tier 7 moves up while ehmry bay moves down; nothing changes in Tier 6, but Tier 7 gets destroyed.
So what exactly do you want? The only ideal situation is to fuse all the servers together into 3 separate factions where the population will be the same throughout all factions…

How is this fixed?

Awww, that’s no fun for anyone… Down in T8, we have not problems, are matchup is hovering about a 1000 difference right now and is very fun and filled with great small group fights and some very long-term sieges. It’s great!

Can we also implement a PVP flagging system whereupon I can flag up and kill any friendly who’s standing around afk at the crafters or doing JPs or any other PvE garbage while taking up slots on the map from actual contributing players?

Another complaint from DR. We had it just as bad, we got steamrolled for an entire month by EB (FC/EB/AR) and they won by a long shot every week. Both FC and AR could barely keep stuff on the map off prime and every single night we lost all keep waypoints, towers and camps yet you don’t see either of our servers making forum topics about the lopsided match up. Just wait it out, its already known that DR imploded and their going down.
Wvw is a game of numbers. That’s all there is to it. And since they refuse to bring new fresh content to the game it’s been dying from the start. Remember when even in last tiers 24/25 there were zergs……

Sad thing, after that, people from the roflstomped servers move to the strongest one, making the difference and imbalance even higher, which transaltes in worse matchups everytime. Scoring system is broken since day 1 of WvW, more population, more scoring and catches population from other lower populated servers
That match-up is not fun for anyone.
This is a Mist war right? Imagine if they introduced Mistlock Instability to the server as they cap more. “As your Server captures more territory the Mists affect you more and more.”
Imagine, the enemy uses an elite and dies!! Or the Mossman stalking the high PPT players across maps! So hilarious See list below:

T1 and T2 do not typically have this WvW problem, and I promise you we do not have forever queues.
I know the feeling though, as I temp transferred to Kaineng for a couple weeks and yes, the map the OP showed IS what WvW is like for those tiers. But yes the WvW players on the overpowered/mismatched server do get bored of no fights and then the K-train folks move in. It’s the same thing that happens during WvW Season mismatches. Til something changes you’ll have to do the changing.
This is likely why they are testing an Alliance versus Alliance type matchup in EotM. If they did that in WvW then all servers, even WvW-light, would frequently be alongside plentiful allies. The problem then remains how many maps would be needed to contain populations of that size with a minimal queue if any, without forcing the overflow to EotM. This is why I’m nervous that WvW match lengths may eventually change into as short as 24-hours, if not shorter. At that point WvW turns arcade mode.

Yeah only tier 1 and 2 are doing well with matchup, as soon as you fall down a tier (like to tier 3) it becomes boring as hell. I’m guessing that in 6 months time WvW will only be interesting in tier 1 because of all the people leaving the game.

Same was said about wvw about 2 years ago still there so i am sry you need a bit more to back up what your saying.
Any way its not a pop. problem its a coverages problem if your world is mostly NA players then they play during NA prime time. So even in T1 and T2 maps can look like that at there worlds off times. You simply CANT force ppl into playing when there are less ppl from your world playing and no pop. going up or fall will changes this.
The only true fix would be no reason lock for worlds so you will have a coverages all the time IF you have ppl from all over the world playing during there prime times. But then the location of these servers will be a major problem for most of the ppl who play on that world.
Its a no win and the biggest flaw about RvR games its not a GW2 flaw alone. So the WvW ppl will only go to other games with a RvR that will have the same problem at the end of the day. To get back to “I’m guessing that in 6 months time WvW will only be interesting in tier 1 because of all the people leaving the game.” only as a temp. fix by the ppl who like rvr because its going to happen agen and agen as a new game comes out to no end.

SoS has no problems with coverage, we just can’t find fights on tier 3.

Short of a complete redesign there is sadly no real fixes for it.
If they were willing to do a redesign however I have heard of several good ideas that could fix the majority of the problems. Ideas like
1: Getting rid of the “home world” idea * instead go of alliances that are tiered on numbers & how well they perform.
2: You can leave your current alliance at any time for free & if not in an alliance you are put into a randoms group at every reset, the randoms groups have their own tier separate from alliances. Joining a new alliance however costs gems, or karma.
3: The numbers cap for each tier of alliance is definite & even the largest would be smaller then the number of people who belong to the T1 servers. This is to ensure a wider variety of match ups, prevent long que.
4: Create reward lines similar to actual PvP, that reward every so many towr caps, keep caps, player kills, & camp caps.
5: Create new maps that encourage large groups to split up & attack targets from different directions at once (via use of cliffs, choke points etc…)
6: Redesign of defensive siege & towers/keeps so that they grant small bonuses to defenders (Iron hide becoming a staple for all defensive siege etc…)
There are lots of other good ideas I have heard as well, these are just some of the best.
