Q:
Tier 1 Question
From what I gathered, some guilds left tc due to “drama”. Thats probably the long and short of it.
Some fight guilds from T1 moved to YB. Word was they wanted to start up a six server rotation. Here is when they moved http://mos.millenium.org/na/matchups/history/299 . TC was the weakest link so they fell.
Honestly don’t see how the six server idea would have worked without the top 6 servers having relatively even timezone coverage. There’s just not enough players populating those servers and pushing hard on points.
Basically some guy was trying to be dictator of all T1. Telling all three servers what to do. When his own server didn’t like him anymore, he and a bunch of guilds created some alliance to mass transfer to YB and kick his server out of T1. But TC proved to be the weakest link and they ended up getting kicked out instead. Then all the TC guilds that wanted to stay in T1 left TC.

Actually a lot of the guilds left TC because they couldn’t get fights in EU, SEA and OCX time zones in T2. T1 was perpetually active in wvw, T2 wasn’t.
However what lead to the player manipulation to create a 6 server rotation came about because ANET failed to recognize or respond to the issue of a STALEmate which lead to a really bad idea. And its only gotten worse from there.
