except when its 5 v zerg, then 25 zerglings get 1-3 loot bags and 5 run or die, and get 0 loot bags

Make new W3 guild, invite all serious w3 players, make some battle plan and dominate one map. Probably kind of fun to play if you don’t have any keeps or towers. You don’t need to defend anything so you can just kill stuff.

It’s not meant to be simple. It’s meant to require dedication, a lot of patience and people with a common goal. To dominate WvW a bunch of flea guilds bouncing around the map isn’t going to work.

Organised guild groups are capable of defeating 2~3 times its numbers against a scattering zerg.

And i like how you people on high tiers think it’s easy to solve T8 problems… I bet you don’t even know what is have the outmanned debuff in 2 maps 24/7 (and sometimes we have it in 3 maps). This isn’t a simple L2Play issue anymore…

That’s what Fergusson’s Crossing do… Then what happens? SF just leave’em alone… No fights, no victory too since only your bordeland can’t compete against the overwhelming force with 2,5 maps.

We all know that Arenanet has been completely ignoring us for a while now and we know that they obviously must be so sick that they cant even come on the forums for us (must be really bad )

It’s just caused by the rating system.
The results in game are the same either way

These servers have found a place to stay after “weeks/months” because they could still drop tiers… However the closer you get to T8, it get harder to fall because of the rating imbalances… And at T8, there is nowhere to run.

People in HoD complain about being always outnumbered in the T7, however it never drop to T8 because of the huge cliff created by the past blowouts that isn’t allowing SF (Which clearly do not belong to T8) to leave.

We have a bazillion threads to discuss things like whether or not T8 is putting in effort or should they transfer.

Your idea is awesome, and I hope ANet does something about. A proper long term solution, that is, not that silly reset that would’ve just made things miserable for everyone before a bunch of servers find themselves in T8 hell again.

No, they have to make Rangers playable again first.

I like the OP’s thinking: instead of yelling at ANet, they took a page from Lobbying-for-Influence 101 and offered the devs perks to think of T8 first, instead of last.

I doubt very much that ANet is happy with the current situation for T8. In fact, at each tier, there is almost always at least one server that is consistently at a disadvantage vs the other two: they are great at T(n), but terrible at T(n+1) and sometimes get stuck there. It’s a problem with any system used to organized tiered combat.

When server transfers were easy (free and without time limit), worlds moved up & down the list quickly. Now that moving worlds is cost-prohibitive for guilds to do more than once, it’s time to look at other ways to balance the fights.

It won’t be anything simple: give too much of a handicap to a less-effective world and you create a disincentive for coordination, clever tactics, or ninja capping teams. Consequently, I imagine it’s going to take a while to figure out and implement something.

Soooo…since you ANet guys are all sweetened up (cookies for the win) and are already here, you guys looking into any prospects for fixing the Glicko Ghetto? We don’t need much, a simple “yes we’re looking into it” or “no, not at this time, but it’s on a list” kind of thing would mean a lot to us T8 folks. Inquiring minds want to know!
