Dear WvW Devs and fellow WvWers,

In the past couple of months there have been ongoing discussions about GvGs and how they affect the experience of other regular wvw players.

Right now there is a lot of negative feedback on the forums about the Bloodlust on the Borderlands Buff (BBB).

Naturally the GvGers oppose that buff on themselves and would like to have an option to turn it off.
Of course, the forums are not the general opinion of the whole wvw player base but they give a good indication on what is on their mind.

I also have my opinion about it but I dont expect Anet to change any core mechanic of the next update. I am sure they put alot of effort in it and it will roll out as intended.

But why not involve the opinion of the player base more in the future?

Let us decide in game with our effort and actions on the battlefield, give us a vote!
You already did this in PvE with the Council Vote between Ellen and Evon, why not introduce something similar to wvw?

No doubt, the coming update will change the meta in wvw and with WvW Season 1 starting 2 weeks later, we wont see any mayor changes for 7 weeks.
Why not use those 7 weeks to gather direct feedback from the people that play wvw?

Give us a vote ticket every 10 kills or every rank chest (starting at level 10), or from every Camp Supervisor, Tower or Keep Lord.

Then give us choices to vote for.

This can just be a general opinion like:

Do you like the Bloodlust in the Borderlands Update so far?

It could also be a vote to change something for the next weeks match-up:

Would you like to have the BBB reduced to 25 points to all stats for next match up?
Would you like to have the BBB disabled for next match up?
Would you like to have the BBB go up to +25 (50) again for next match up?
Would you like to have Arrow Carts disabled for next match up?
Would you like to have Environmental Weapons enabled for next match up?

You could also gain some valuable feedback concerning long term changes, like map population caps, more maps with lower pop caps, or a second Obsidium Sanctum without a JP Chest at the end, where we could do our GvGs (I know some Devs have a problem with that abbreviation: It means Guild vs Guild) without interfering with map queues on the Borderlands, not getting the BBB and not annoying other people that try to solve the regular Jumping Puzzle.

This voting system could be used on alot of different topics, I just used GvGs and the Bloodlust Buff as main examples because personally its bothering e the most.

I posted this in the WvW Forum because i hope to get some feedback from wvw players before it gets moved to the abyss of the Suggestions Forum.
Maybe you also have something you would like to see a vote on.

I vote to ban GvG oriented guilds to a specific server where there is no pve and no wvw only a single map with no npc that allow them to play 20vs20 and leave the whole world in peace : and guess what : they would be happy lol

I would also love a choice where we could choose which server to fight, that means that we wouldn’t get such bad matchups.

Way too complicated.
If they gave a rats kitten about feedback, they could just make a sticky thread here with a pool:
“Would you like to see the stat increase remove from the Bloodlust Borderlands Buff?”

The only time Anet bothered with Feedback threads has been for Ascended.

And those thread were more like “QQ about Ascended go here, don’t pollute rest of forum, we’ve decided already and don’t give a kitten about your opinion anyway.”

Just like Bloodlust.

It may surprise you to learn that most organized guilds play considerably more WvW than GvG, and that pretty much every server’s standing in the rankings is a result of THEIR work.

Pls stop thinking that you gvger are the center of the world…
