Its one of the worst option because forcibly stopping people from playing due to the opposing server having no players is a sure way to drive people off from the game for good. One server could easily grief the others simply by choosing not play on EB or a border.
Scaling up or down instances would only work you scrapped servers and let everyone join FFA EoTM style.

I don’t see people quit over the score, I see people quit when they get bobbed down in 10v40. The scoring changes will not balance that. Managing a floating queue to keep close to even numbers on the maps of the 3 servers would be the best option.
The 2 are inter twined. the 10v40s which you mention are easy bags and easy score. Too easy. If there is less point in transfers or going for the 10v40s then there should be less of them. Perhaps people will transfer to get more equal fights instead of just score, who knows.

Everyone already CAN join FFA EOTM style, in EOTM. How is that going ?
I remember winning some 10 v 40s, not all enemies are good. And those were the best fights I had, even though enemy sucked. If you really wanna remove this from future generations, yeah :/
btw get gud, if you havent won 10v40 ever against the noobiest servers in your tier, you’re most likely bad as well :/ Siege is in this game for reason, and you can always make last stand in keep lords room with cannons.
