where should I transfer to for the best and most frequent chances for SOLO roaming WvW fights?

just to add, i am a SEA time player looking for more SEA time roaming solo fights

SEA? If you go too low you risk not finding many people around end up having to flip camps for a while to make people come.

Ofc, if you think your tier is blobby i wouldn’t recomend to go any higher as the higher you go, the more people you’ll find.

there arent many soloists anywhere, most people are too weak to roam alone and building siege takes too long to keep a soloist interested in more than camps/duels/running from gank squads

I dont suggest T1 for you, there is always something for roamers to take, but SEA time still has a good amount of people so more often that not you will find youself getting flattened by zergs. I would probably try lower tiers, that have less population which means more roamers/small groups, which will mean more likely to find small fights or 1v1’s. The problem is people who go to wvw solely setup for 1v1’s and such dont help their server all that much so people generally have started going away from that playstyle, and since many people see no reason in looking for fights when just trying to cap camps its less likely you will find fights. What roamers do can be easily accomplished by players like me who multitask, maphopping, going from a zerg to quick camp captures, or tower caps etc etc. And we dont setup for 1v1’s so its pointless for us to fight those that do.

Actually, the roaming scene during SEA in T1 is very good. Theres a lot of 2v2 or 1v2 situations which is highly ideal for roamers, as well as fight clubs and duels going off. The borderlands will often have 5 man groups running around as well(when the blobs aren’t there) which are great for some small scale skirmishes.

thats true but from what I read I think he just wants solo roaming and 1v1’s , the good thing about t1 is its active all day even SEA time where there are quite a lot of people. If that suits you I do recommend BG then, its pretty dominant during OCX and SEA and has some great wvw guilds

If he wants consistent action, T1 is the last place where there’s consistent SEA. Other servers have SEA, sure, but even in T2, you’ll be roaming around for ages before finding a fight. You still have that in T1, but a higher likelihood of finding fights

T2 is ok for some smaller zerg fights during SEA though, since the 3 servers can field like 30-40 on a good night and just stuff them on EBG to fight it out.

From what i gathered from the replies, T2 is better than T1 in terms of solo roaming.

I have decided to remain in CD though because I just realized it costs 1800 gems to transfer and I don’t have that sort of financial capability.

if that changes, I recommend T2 for SEA roaming. I solo’d 3 camps and 2 towers on my ranger for lulz, but I had to dodge some very good roamers to do it.

Still if you want to feel god like you should try it. I’ve easily gone 1v6 on my ranger on the nights I stayed up late. If you bring a couple friends you could finds some great skirmish fights on AR.

I personally disagree. On lower tier, I set up on all my classes a versatility build that allows me to 1vX easily while being able to solo cap towers and keeps. Zerg a are a very flawed idea in the game IMO. Having multiple 2 man groups running around calling towers and keeps is the ideal strategy. My guild will run 3 2-5 man groups on a map and manage to flip the map very quickly. Additionally, having each of those people being capable of 1v2ing as a minimum allows for our 5 man groups to wipe groups that number into the 10-15 range. Yes, some groups get wiped, but if a zerg wipes one group and saves one tower while two other towers flip and now their outer wall of a keep is down, it tends to overwhelm the zerg.
Im not condemning people who enjoy zergs, I’m just saying there are more efficient ways to win a match up.

Pvp is too bunkerish. Most people just build to dispute points, not the same as WvW roaming.

I saw a triple turret engineer on WvW other day… I just walked away. Might be contagious…

well not to further steer this post of course, but thats one reason I avoid pvp. Everyone runs the same build and just runs around a point with a bunker build. And to much stealth, illusions, turrets, spirits, minions etc…thats not pvp, kind of a joke.

I ran into one a couple months ago while I was roaming as a longbow ranger. I laughed my kitten off as I killed him from a distance

yes i moved from CD to TC, tho i rarely wvw, i moved because all my friends are there.

You might want to have a look at what T2 has to offer. DB is already SEA heavy, so have a look at the other T2 servers (especially YB) if you want action during that TZ.
